It may be in the back of the alternator or if it is late model it will be in the ECM unit so schematics may be hard to come by
you may get a schematics if you can get a diagram of the alternator .

ECM or alt Hey Randy sorry it is a 2000 mpv and alts for 2000 MPV's are externally regulated according to the parts houses

Then it could be the ECM. You first need to check wiring and plugs for corrosion. You'll need a volt/ohm meter and a wiring schematic. ECM's are costly and then need programmed to the vehicle.

We have a 2001 Mazda MPV, we have a problem with the alternator charging system. We replaced 3 alternators and we discovered that the alternator is burning the computer. We replaced the computer and it got...

It is likely your charge wire or field circuit is shorted. If you mean you want to install an external regulator, I cannot recommend that, as it will likely cause a fault to disconnect the alternator from the computer. Trace all of the alternator wires, big and small; and I believe you will find a short. If you have an ohmmeter, use it to make sure the field power wire is isolated from chassis ground.

My windows on my 05 MPV stopped working, They were intermittent then just stopped. I purchased a new swtich and still nothing. Is there a relay for this??? I have 12v at the switch.

ALL windows inoperative? The RED/WHITE wire should have 12 V (you didnt say which wire has 12V?) Be sure the BLACK wire does not have voltage when trying to move window, thats the ground wire. If the black wire has voltage then the ground circuit is bad. if you suspect the ground cicuit, manually ground the black wire and see if the switch comes to life.l

2001 Mazda MPV, have replaced Alternator, but battery light keeps coming on. When negative terminal wire is removed the engine dies, but using meter the voltage output is around 13.85-14. Checked all...

Removing either battery cable, thereby taking the battery out of the circuit, with the engine running can cause the alternator to charge full tilt and destroy sensitive micro volt (computer controlled) components; and I've seen wiring harnesses go up in flame from it. You may have a module problem.

How do i replace a driver side window regulator and motor for a 2005 mazda mpv?

Remove the door panel, disconnect the window from the regulator. Push the window all the way up. Secure it either with duct tape, or prop good with screwdriver. Do not let it fall down. You should be able to work inside the door now to get the bolts and screws out to remove the motor and regulator.
