There are 2 pressure switches on it. High and low. Make sure you jumped the high switch. If so, the ECM could be bad. Check wiring first. Low refrigerant could be the problem also.
Testimonial: "I can find only 1 pressure switch it is under the Battery. The pressure on the low side is 52 psi, the condenser fan come on when I put the ac button on dash, just the clutch doesn't work."
Terry, have it checked for low refrigerant at a good shop. "I hope this helped you out, if so let me know by pressing the helpful button. Check out some of my other posts if you need more tips and info."

Your A/C system has a pressure sensor. If the system needs recharged, the compressor will not engage.

replace the black relay between the 2 blue relays in the fuse box. cost about 5 bucks.

Difficult to describe, but I will give it a try.
Inside the driver's side fender, close to the front of the car, there is a bracket that is held in place by one bolt, but which has a short horizontal bar as part of it which has two large clips encircling two cylinderical devices which have wires clipped into them at the bottoms. The one closest to the front (radiator) is the compressor clutch relay. The other one is the condenser fan relay.
Hope this helps you find it.

the compressor may be low on freopn but, the fan problem is most likely the fan motor as it is the low temp fan and will run more often than both fans...to test see if you can switch the fan plugin to the other fan watch carefully that it does not get too hot as the second fan is a safety fan that works as high temp or when using the A\C

I would check the low pressure switch next. The switch cuts power to the compressor if the pressure is too low. The switch can fail.
Same goes for the high pressure safety switch.
As for leaving the relay bypassed, you would need to use a test light or meter to see if you are using battery power with the key off. I would not recommend it.
