I worked on a vehicle with a similar problem and the answer was the master switch in driver door another time it was the motor in driver door. Take off door panel, disconnect motor insert leads from a multimeter into the wire harness for Windows and set meter to continuity activate switch for up and then down listening for a beep sound if don't hear replace switch

thank you for very detailed assistance. I am waiting for a friend to come by with a meter and will do as you say. thanks again
problem was no juice to fuse, ran it down cause to another huge fuse (under hood) that tripped. looks like all generated from window switch shorting out when a wire was just ever so slightly exposed . thank you again.

I think your problem is going to be in the switch itself.
There are several things that can cause these to fail in addition to a fuse. You need specialist knowledge to trace out the circuit and identify if it is the switches, power supply, wiring or control circuits. I suggest you take it to your local repairer or an auto electrician. I presume you have checked that the lock out switch is not on.
