look on dashboard for a switch with headlamp symbol on it possibly arrows on it too,and it will have 3 or 4 settings on the switch 1 being the highest setting and the lowest setting being the lowest number. if set to 1 and still too low the open bonnet and look for adjusting scres on backs of headlamp or on top of headlamp usually hexagon drive or posi drive some even have little thumbwheels on for easy adjustment. take care though one screw alters vertical movement and the other adjusts left / right aim
On the top of your headlight you should see a screw (usally a star type) that adjust the up and down adj. On the side between the light and grill bezel you should see the same type of screw. That one will adj. the side to side movement. It will be easier if you find a flat wall to use when adj. your lights. Park about 15 feet away and adj. , then drive around and adj. more if needed.
The adjustment screws/nuts should be located either on the top of the headlamp assembly,
behind the headlamp assembly, or near the frame rail by the radiator
support.
You will have vertical adjustment screws for each independent beam
(separate highs and separate lows, but will be same screw if highs and
lows are the same bulb). You may also have additional horizontal
adjustment screws as well
Park
your car on a level ground 30 feet from a wall and measure the height
from the ground to the bulb and mark on a wall (do this for highs beams
and low beams if the bulbs are separate, if highs and lows are the same
bulb, only do it for the lows)
For Low Beams: If the headlights read VOR, then
aim the brightest part or cutoff part just below the mark on the wall.
If it says VOL or nothing, aim them 2 inches below the mark on the wall.
For High Beams (if separate from low beams): Aim the headlight directly at the line you marked on the wall.
THIS VEHICLE HAS SELF ADJUSTING BRAKES SO IF THEY DO NOT ADJ MUST BE SELF ADJ IS FROZE UP WILL NEED TO TAKE WHEEL OFF THEN DRUM & WORK ON FREEING UP SELF ADJ
in order to adjust the low beam portion of the headlights u would have to adjust the high beams as well its a matter of adjusting the whole headlight assemblies themselves... you can attempt it on a wall a distance away yourself but this is never very accurate.... if you were to try this though there are two adj. screws on the backside of each headlamp. Best solution is to bring the vehicle to a reputable body shop and pay to have them aligned correctly with a machine. Hope this helps
