My 2012 Lincoln MKX only blows cold air from the drivers vents and only blows hot air out the passenger vents regardless if I have the ac on or heat on. Please help.

bad blend or mode damper door motor actuators. is cause (maybe)
we know how to move them by hand motors off (actuators)
hot all the time is blend unless AC compressor is dead.
yes blend doors can jam fully to hot, sure can.,
It needs service, there are other causes.
most of the tests you can not do. or easy.
there are 2 systems here.
  • the blower distributor system. (dampers 3 or more0
  • or
  • the AC R134 loop dead or weak.
what I do is make sure the compressor runs
and if does,
move the blend door by hand (my jeep has built in self test of this)
and by hand I put the damper to evap core only mode and if no cold air now, the loop is bad and I stop here, lots more tests from hear.

or he AC condensate drain is clogged even covering up deeply evap core . blocking is air flow., and super common this and a simple fix.

My Chevy S10 will only blow hot air through my vents. Even with the max ac on. What is going on here ???

The possible problem is a bad blend door that is stuck on the heater side. Could be a bad actuator or something that is jamming the door keeping from changing. Some actuators are vacuum operated so check for bad vacuum lines.

Kia sportage 2008 v6,I've a problem with AC,In hot weather after 30 mins drive loose conditioned air and hot air start blowing although after switching engine off for may be 20 mins; AC start working

Bad blend door actuator is your cause. You need to disconnect the actuator from the blend door and manually check the blend door. One side of the door switches the heat and one draws air from the ac evaporator.

No cold air inside the car

try rechecking the blend door actuator and its connections, fuse, etc. also if your AC system is overcharged it will blow warm air.

NO HEAT STUCK ON AC HEAR CLICKING IN CENTER CONSOLE

Air Temperature Control Blend Door Failure No Heat or no AC (dependes on where door sticks)

In all modern cars there is a tiny DC electric motor driven gear drive that moves a plastic door that blends heated and cooled air from the AC and the heater core, this is called (interestedly enough) the air temperature control blend door actuator. The motor that moves this door fails because the door starts sticking from warping, most common complaint is no heat but it can be no AC as well. To replace these parts (blend door and blend door actuator) you must remove the entire dash from the car. Always have this problem confirmed by a dealer or qualified repair shop as it is a very expensive repair.

Other causes of no heat in the cabin are engine thermostats that are stuck open (engine runs cold) or air bubbles in the cooling system.

Blend door actuator possibly bad how hard is it to fix or replace?

usually it is in the dash and the glove box needs to be removed to get to the actuator.

Air conditioner blowing hot air

Blowing hot air when set to A/C is almost always a stuck blend door, dead blend door actuator, or a cracked or disconnected blend door actuator vacuum line. The blend door is inside the a/c ducting under the dash, but the actuator will be accessible outside the ducting.
