How do I replace the switch, commutateur interruptor 1998 Mercury Mountaineer?

Security is tricky on these. Any thing you replace, except the receiver or wire has to be programmed at a Ford dealer. Security consists of the key, receiver, wiring, the BCM, or PCM. Also add a tow bill to this.

How do you replace a duralast ps307 switch interruptor on a 2004 Santa Fe

Hi,
That switch is basically a 'bolt' w/a metal connector for the wire. It's probably a 19mm or 3/4" (deep) socket or a wrench....but essentially it just needs to be unscrewed from the engine block. Something to watch out for is that it's not screwed into another mount that can also be unscrewed...like my Subaru...sometimes they'll come out together. You'll want to ONLY unscrew the switch itself and not the mount, if applicable.

Go to Google type/past this in: hyundai santa fe oil pressure switch location

And click on the images tab. It'll show you where to find the switch. It might depend on whether you have the 4 or 6 cylinder engine.

Switch interruptor

If we are talking about a pressure switch, it usually is the low pressure cut-off switch. Before messing with this switch, verify what your Freon pressure is.
If the pressure is low, the low pressure switch may be fine and you need to add Freon and find out why the Freon escaped.
If you have high pressure, there is a second switch which cuts power to the compressor. Too much Freon will activate this switch.
Tip: You have both a high and low pressure switch. The proper amount of Freon will center the pressure and keep the compressor running more consistently.
Either pressure switch unscrews from the fitting and with a minimum of pressure can be removed from the lines and replaced. The housing should have shapes for wrenches.

I have a 1995 tahoe and just replaced the brake power booster. I had to pry off the switch interruptor, which is located on the brake pedal, to remove to the power booster cable. I've got it all back...

The retainer that was damaged upon removal does not provide a ground path for the lights, however the spring tension does hold the switch in position.
These retainers are available at your local dealership as brake switch recalls are quite common on GM trucks.

How important is it to replace a camshaft interruptor? While getting an oil change on Monday, they noticed an oil leak so they sprayed degreaser to find out where the leak was coming from and the spark...

you don't accually replace it there is a gasket underneath it but if it's just a very small leak i wouldn't worry about it and it's not something that i would recommend just anyone doing because it's got to go back together EXACTLY how it comes apart or it will affect the running of the engine
