SOURCE: Ford Focus 2006 model airbag deactivation
Children in car seats should never be put in the front seat. In fact children under the age of 13 should never be in the front seat. Their bodies are not large enough or strong enough to sustain the impact of a crash or an airbag. For your baby's safety and your peace of mind it'd be best for you to keep your baby in the rear seat and get a mirror for the back seat to see what's going on.
SOURCE: front seat stays in the reclined postion..
The seat position is changed through the use of a cable that runs through a flexible tunnel, under the seat. In one case that I'm aware of, this cable got stuck around a projecting seat spring under the seat. When the seat was reclined and moved backward or forward, the cable caught on the seat spring and the seat had insufficient slack in the cable to release from the reclined position.

SOURCE: can i switch of the passenger airbag in my 2003 ford focus?
The passenger airbag is what is called a smart generation airbag, there is a sensor in the passenger seat that tells the airbag control module to turn off the bag if the weight is less than 50 pounds in the paswsenger seat, i.e. a child, I work for Ford and we will not turn off or tamper with or disconnect the airbag, why? if you get in a wreck and are hurt because we disconnected or otherwise defeated the airbag we would be liable for damages and a lawsuit.
SOURCE: fixing a 2003 ford focus front wheel bearings
remove the hub and spinle ,tie rod end ,axle nut.ball joint, and seperate from strut and then have new bearing pressed in...or rent a bearing press that works with an impact wrench, but they are a little hard to work with...good luck...lee
