SOURCE: How to replace high/low beam switch on 2004 Ford Focus LX?
Should be fairly easy. Make sure to disconnect the positive battery cable. Remove the cover from around the column behind the steering wheel. Should take a star driver to remove the screws holding the cover together. Once the screws are removed pop the cover apart and you will see the multifunction switch on the column, should have two to three screws holding it to the column remove the screws and it should come out pretty easy replace with new one and put back together.

is difficult you need a press and some special tools as torquemeter to set the nuts to avoid the worn out of the new bearings.try to a local garage.buy the parts by yourself and the cost isnt so high!

Here we are 3 mechanics later
What,in detail, was done in the way of testing?
Did you or do you, understand anything you were told?
If you don't know your vehicle systems and how to test them
stop working on your own car.
How would we know, without having your vehicle or more info,
what is causing the problems your having?
These vehicles are complex,we are not back in the 1960's,
although a lot of basics still is there and overlooked by the pros
SOURCE: i need ignition coil diagram ford focus 2000 LX
you have a single 3 or 4 pin connector to the coil pack. Someimes the wires get corroded and break off at the connector. Ford has a pigtail kit to fix that issue. Usually a misfire with the check engine light on.
Green/bluestripe is from ignition switch
Black/green stripe is to PCM (computer)
Black/orange stripe is to PCM
These last 2 wires are what the PCM uses to fire the spark plugs 2 at a time.
SOURCE: 2003 Ford Focus, No power to coil pack
Your coil pack is where the spark comes from,if you aint got spark comeing from there to plugs the pack is bad
