The fuel will not engage ? We checked fuses , unhooked battery and re attached the cables to it . Can any one help me , need car to get to work and no mechanics are open on Saturday night or Sunday
That seems like the fuel pump. Turn the key to on but don't turn it over, and see if you hear a buzzing sound near the back of the car. If not then your fuel pump is bad. If you do hear it then try to purge your fuel bar under the hood it should have what looks like a valve stem an the top of the motor. Just put a screw driver in it til you see gas while the key is in on Position. If this doesn't work then you'll need a mechanic
Don't get to mad at your husband its a hard job to do fuel lines on any Chevy.
The problem is most likely your fuel pump they last 10 years if your not ******* them and keep the tank at least full .
Running on E is vary bad you could have the filters check but and the out put pressure witch is vary high about 65 psi witch is to high more then the vehicle needs .
That's why they fail 10 years
Testimonial: "when we tried the car this morning it started right up . Then it sounded like it was running out of gas , which it wasn't as I filled it up on Friday . Now it won't start again ."
