How to time it back? I am pretty sure your engine is an interference engine. You may want to call toyota and find out. If your belt broke and your truck was moving you more than likely have engine damage (bent valves or worse).

What do I do my 5l engine won't crank when the engine is hot and burning too much oil about 5 litre oil in a week. What should I do?

I would conclude that the rings did not seat. This could be caused by the wrong rings, cylinders not honed correctly, rings upside down, cylinder head valve seals malfunction, too much timing,

Timing belts break over 100.000 mile I hope people change there oil. At3000 miles

That's not true for all Toyotas, almost all with timing belts but not the later V8 engines that have timing belts, these are interference engines so if the belt breaks there is going to be engine damage.

Does My 93 Camry have a timing chain or Belt ? when to change it?

its timing belt. This car requires the timing belt to be serviced at every 60k miles. This engine is a non-interference motor, so the engine will not get damaged internally if belt breaks. But other parts externally can become damaged. Also at the same time the timing belt is changed, replace the water pump, idler and tensioner pulleys.

1998 toyota camry le 4 cylinder How do you set the

Just make sure the timing belt is on properlyy, lining up the cam and crank in proper position to each other. The engine willstart when fully assembled because the electrical has not be altered. If it has a crank position sensor , be sure to put it back on after cleaning it and the connector.

Unknown millage on timing belt 152000

The interval for replacement is 60,000 miles on that model.
If you do not know the last time it was changed, it would be a good idea to do it so you do not risk getting stranded.

The engine is NOT an interference engine, so the engine will not be damaged if the belt breaks; you will just need a tow truck to get it somewhere to install a new belt.

Does 98 toyota camry have timing belt or chain? When do I know if it needs to be replaced? Has 140000 miles on it. Have been told if belt snaps, it can destroy engine.

Both the 4 and 6 cyl. engines in this car have belts. The 4's don't last as long because they lack a tensioner and get noisy. Toyotas for the most part do not get hurt when the belt breaks. non interference engines...nice huh?
