In hot weather, my door locks do not work with the key fob or by pushing the driver door lock for all doors. I have to lock and unlock each door manually.

If this happening with all the doors when it happens, I would suspect the lock relays are getting old and tired. Replace the power lock relay or relays.

Testimonial: "It's usually with all of the doors but not always. It's just weird because it's only when the weather is over 75 degrees. Winter is no problem. Thanks for the help, Rich"

Bmw drivers door only wont lock/unlock with key fob

Could be your driver door lock mechanism that is going bad , since the other door are working, it cannot be the fob. I would try to change the driver side door latch mechanism.

Drivers side door will not lock or unlocl with key or remote

That sounds like a seized linkage issue. Open door panel and disconnect linkage from the actuator. If the actuator works, it's the linkage

Sounds to me like the vacuum line to your locking/unlocking device in the non properly working doors are your problem. As more than one door is effected I would suggest the line/connection at the vacuum pump under the back seat is a good place to start looking. The vacuum pump is literally underneath the back seat inside a foam 'pillow'. The backseat is locked down by two devices where the floor and the seat meat. push the visable tab in and that should release that side. Easiest done with two ppl, one on either side.

How come on a 2002 GMC Denali if you lock your key inside

i would say the theft module saw the door trying to be open without the door lock or fob first, once the door lock button was pushed it shut down, it new doors were trying to be unlocked in a theft manner, once shut down it needs time to reset or needs to see ignition cycle with key and read chip in key, smart system isnt it, good luck.

Program a remote key for 03 A6

I have an A4 and did this to re-program my key:

1. used the key to start the car...then turned it off
2. put the key in the driver door (door closed)
3. pressed the lock button on the key fob once
4. turned the key to lock the door.

This is basically the steps in the owners manual, but the car must be started with the key first, and the key must be in the door lock before pressing the lock button.

2004 Civic Drivers door lock

The driver's side door lock button is designed not to lock from the inside unless the handle is pulled, or the power switch is used. This serves as a reminder to not lock your keys inside.

If you are inside, and push down on the button (not the switch) hard enough to lock it, you've probably damaged it.
