Ran DR steering col. have done this on other cars anything special I need. to know

There was a problem with the wiring on them
The battery wire runs right over the steering col. It needs to be pulled up away from the col. The cable rubs the col.and shorts out the battery. Check to see if it is rubbing the column. Left side of engine below battery

You may have to have someon pore a bit of fuel down the intake manifold (through carburator) while you try try start it.

it time for a new turn signals switch

Pry off the plastic cap off the bottom of the steering column. There is a small white plunger in this access hole and press while turning the key to the lock position.

Power Steering fluid is what's needed. not oil. The fluid is generic, no special mix for a certain make or model.

I couldn't recommend one over another because of anything special it does. There is no Deluxe Power Steering Fluid that will help you steer twice as good as the leading competitor.

Hello vdc442: My name is Roger and I will answer your question. The steering rack is most likely your problem. The rack has seals inside of it. They start to leak internally and this causes the hard steer to one side. To repair the rack and pinion takes special equipment.The easiest way to repair is to replace the rack. This also takes special equipment in that the car will need realignment when done. Also this is a messy job.The changing of the rack can be difficult. But if you are mechanically inclined you should be able to do this. Make sure to chalk the tires and be sure to use Jack stands to support the car while working under the car.

sounds like you have no compression amego 7.3 do that but check the glow plugs with an ohm meter, if the glow plugs to shine it won't run, and whil your at it check your oil level if it's high your fuel pump just craped out.

sounds like the clock spring in the steering col

just remove old rack install power rack in its place bolts up the same look at acivic with power steering to determin hoses go get apower steering pump braket and the power steering resevor and braket make sure u get an alignment after ur done

Nothing special about these brakes. Parking brake is behind rotor, so all caliper pistons push into bores.
