Fuse #1 (10 amp) that is in the fuse panel under the dash powers the radio. Fuse # 1 is in the top left corner. The power from fuse # 1 goes through the ignition switch, so if the fuse is good, check the ignition switch

Well, if you havent already found the answer, and being a 1996 Nissan owner myself, if you open the bonnet of your car, and look to the left side centre of the engine compartment, you`ll see the the plastic bottle that holds the power steering fluid, there.

lower left of steering column and it should be labled on fuse lid if not check owners manual

More than 1 fuse on that car can power the clock. Check all the fuses and replace any bad ones.
