SOURCE: repair a4 audi 2004, mass air flow sensor,

hi this might not be the MAF but the MAP sensor as this is the thing that normally gives you this sort of fault, the MAF adjusts the air and fuel mix but the MAP adjusts the air and fuel mix and also the timing via the ECM , normally if it is the MAF it will just idle rough and still run as normal, but jerky and bogs down but does not stall, so if anything i would opt for the MAP sensor first before the MAF...hope this helps

03 Nissan Altima showing codes P0304,P0102,P0154,P0113 what are they and how do i repair the problems.

Hi Chris.

p0304 = Number 4 Cylinder Misfire Detected

Faulty spark plug 4
Clogged or faulty fuel injector 4
Faulty ignition coil 4
Fuel injector 4 harness is open or shorted
Fuel injector 4 circuit poor electrical connection
Ignition coil 4 harness is open or shorted
Ignition coil 4 circuit poor electrical connection
Insufficient cylinder 4 compression
Incorrect fuel pressure
Intake air leak

The P0304 code means that the cylinder 4 is misfiring or is randomly misfiring. Start by checking for intake leaks an if no leaks are found the next step is to replace the spark plugs on cylinder 4.

p0102 = Mass or Volume Air Flow Circuit Low Input

Faulty mass air flow sensor
Intake air leaks
Dirty mass air flow sensor
Dirty mass air filter
Mass air flow sensor harness is open or shorted
Mass air flow sensor circuit poor electrical connection

Before replacing the mass air flow sensor, try replacing the air filter and cleaning the air flow sensor with low compress air or mass air flow sensor cleaner.
Reset code and drive vehicle.
If the code comes back, it may be necessary to replaced the mass air flow sensor.

p0154 = O2 Sensor Circuit No Activity Detected Sensor 1 Bank 2

Faulty Front Heated Oxygen Sensor Bank 2
Front Heated Oxygen Sensor Bank 2 harness is open or shorted
Front Heated Oxygen Sensor Bank 2 circuit poor electrical connection
Inappropriate fuel pressure
Faulty fuel injectors
Intake air leaks may be faulty
Exhaust gas leaks

Replacing the Front Heated Oxygen Sensor Bank 2 usually takes care of the problem.

p0113 = Intake Air Temperature Sensor Circuit High

Faulty Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor
Dirty air filter
Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor harness is open or shorted
Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor circuit poor electrical connection

The Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor is built into mass air flow sensor or in some vehicles mounted to the air filter duct housing. The sensor detects intake air temperature and transmits a signal to the Engine Control Module (ECM).The temperature sensing unit uses a thermistor which is sensitive to the change in temperature. Electrical resistance of the thermistor decreases in response to the temperature rise. The Intake Air Temperature signal is used as an input for various systems in the vehicle.

Hope this helps

What does MAF mean

MAF stands for Mass Air Flow. Your MAF meter is located in the inlet snorkle between the air filter housing and the throttle body.

No power jucking but can drive throw it is it the air mass meter !!!!

Your description, I venture has a number of things misspelle by accident. "Jucking" Maybe "Jerking?" But you can drive "throw" as though" it is the air mass meter.
Keep in mind, I am not making fun of you, I have made my share of misspelled words and sentances which were a little confusing.
As for the mass air flow sensor, looking at technical service bulletins, there is one which pertains to the throttle position sensor, Air Idle Contril Valve and the Mass Air Flow Meter. They reference connections which need to be checked and insured that they are clean. These can cause a balk or hesitation and stumble. False air problems can also caise the same conditions. Look for vacuum leaks. The main hose which connects the air mass meter to the throttle body may have a crack or tear in it. As you apply throttle, the engine is going the jump and shift position a little. This can cause a small to massive air leak between the air mass sensor and the throttle body. Un metered air means poor performance.

Where is the mass air flow sensor located on a 2006 ford focus?

The mass air flow sensor will be fitted in the pipe work that comes from the air filter housing. Find the air filter housing and in the round pipe that goes towards the engine, there will be a wiring connector. this will be connected to your mass air flow sensor. Hope this helps

MAAS AIR SENSOR

A mass air flow sensor is used to find out the mass of air entering a fuel-injected engine. The air mass information is necessary for the engine control unit (ECU) to balance and deliver the correct fuel mass to the engine. Air changes its density as it expands and contracts with temperature and pressure. In automotive applications, air density varies with the ambient temperature and altitude, and this is an ideal application for a mass sensor. (See stoichiometry and ideal gas law.)
There are two common types of mass airflow sensors in usage on gasoline engines. These are the vane meter and the hot wire. Neither design employs technology that measures air mass directly. However, with an additional sensor or two, the engine's air mass flow rate can be accurately determined.
Both approaches are used almost exclusively on electronic fuel injection (EFI) engines. Both sensor designs output a 0 - 5.0 volt or a PWM signal that is proportional to the air mass flow rate, and both sensors have an intake air temperature (IAT) sensor incorporated into their housings.
