Blower is not running ? Or is ?if the blower fans not working check fuses or replace motor , if your heat cycles and your blower blows cool air , its likely a heater core issue
This model has a rear heat/cold blend door actuator. Its an electric motor that moves the duct door from hot to cold. When they wear out, they're usually stuck on the last setting
Either you have a blower motor FUSE that has gone bad "typically the problem" or you have a burned out blower motor. Usually the cause of a blown or burnt motor if not a Fuse, Is caused by the vented air from outside letting debris like sticks or leaves, acorns etc. enter the fan box. If ANY of the mentioned items get caught in the "blower box" then it will usually blow the fuse and or burn up the blower motor. Start in your fuse box and look for a burnt fuse and replace with same size fuse. If it blows the new fuse quickly then you have debris in "Blower box" that will have to be removed before adding yet another fuse. I have had the same problem and I found a bunch of leaves in my "Blower Box". I removed the leaves and replaced the burned out fuse. And I have had no more problems with the blower motor blowing air.
It sounds like the heater motor may not be operating. When you switch the heater fan on can you hear the motor running? If not then it may have blown the heater fan fuse, check the fuse's and then try it again. If the fuse is ok then it could be a faulty switch or fan motor.
On the bottom of the air unit is the lever that changes temps. It likes to fall out of place.I propped mine back with a piece of half-inch copper pipe a couple of years ago.Remove glove box then panel on front side of console to access.
if the fan is blowing this could be a problem with the climate controll switch that changes the direction of air from floor to defrost to vents, some are vacuum controlled through a vacuum operated mechanism that opens and closes a door in the vents which redirects the air to different places.
If the fuse is blowing there is too much resistance in the cooling fan moter. Replace JUST the cooling fan motor and the fuse. The A/C always turns the cooling fan ON when turned on. That is why the A/C messes up when the fan motor is bad. Replace the fan motor and the A/C problem will be fixed too. :)
Nothing is hard if you have patience and some tools or maybe even a friend to help.
Does the air go cool when moving down the road? Does the vent air blow?
The fans for these are the same.
It is located under the hood, passenger side, right up against the firewall. They usually come out from the front.
Locate the fan motor - disconnect the wires - jumper to the battery with some clip leads, see if the fan runs. If it does, then not the fan and probably a fuse which is on the drivers side underneath the hood. It could also be the switching mechanism at that point, that's why try the heat and vent to see if anything changes.
