The passenger window of my Buick Lesabre 2000 recently broke. How can I uncover the door to access to the mechanism, and what part should I replace?

The door panel is held on with some screws and plastic clips around the edges. When I went in to the rear doors, I had to pry the panels off and some of the clips broke. Plan to replace atleast a few of them. On the read door the window mechanism is a real "rube goldberg" setup that isn't really fixable. I finally cut the cables which move the windows, screwed in an anchor screw, raised the window to the closed position, and locked them in place. By the way, the local shop said it was a $800 job to repair it.

Rear passenger side window won't go down, they are power

If you know you have power going to the door window motor. And it is not working then most likely the motor is bad.
But to be safe listen motor is running try going up & down. Some years of Buick came with belt drive and yours may have broke

Power window front passenger

I had the same problem on my 1992 lesabre. The solution is to test the window motor itself with an external 12 volt power supply ( I used the car battery and some jumper cable w/ 2 screw drivers - not recommended for amatures! LOL) First remove the door panel which is difficult but you'll figure it out if you are qualiifed to repair your window yourself. Then test the window moptor if it functions (in both directions) THEN IT IS THE WINDOW SWITCH, A FUSE OR A RELAY. If the moter does not function then replace the motor
Good Luck
You can get a new window motor on ebay or at your local junk yard or (god forbid) the dealership
