I wrote previously that it was the compressor on the air conditioner on the 1992 buick PA its not the compressor but hte clutch. sorry by myself here and trying to fix this.

1992 Buick PA,if you add power directly to the clutch and it comes only obviuosly you have a power supply problem or low freon,Your system basically has a low pressure switch this is located on or near the filter drier,if you jump the switch together, you have low freon or a bad low pressure switch,8_10_2012_4_43_43_am.jpg

When i turn on my air conditioner on my 2002 Buick LeSabre my fuse blows for the right fan. Do i assume the fan is bad? The left fan still works when the car gets hot.

My air conditioner on my Buick has a full charge of Freon and when it is hot out I don't get the cooling power in the cabin as I have it on low switch so when I put the switch on the high the Air doesn't change to cool the interior on high. I had the Freon tested and it still doesn't work properly and I wonder if there is a sensor that doesn't allow the system to cool properly?

Where is the location of the high low pressure switch on 95 buick lesabre

compressor comes on and off normally mean low on freon or compressor is going out, i would check freon first. low pressure is normally the bottom line but you may want to ask someone at your local part store to pull the diagram to make sure

Where is the inline air conditioner filter located

What you are referencing is probably the orifice tube + a screen.
There are many things that can change the air temperature inside the car.
1. Inside AC/HEATER duct under the dash, the temperature door can be open a bit and let the warm air mix with cold air temperature.
2.The purpose of the orifice tube, that is between the high pressure and low-pressure tube you can feel with your hands the cold and warm tube
The screen is blocking particles of metal from A/C compressor if the compressor is defect.

high-pressure side is HOT
low-pressure side is COLD
3. A/C compressor clutch could slip more than it should. The air gap has too much clearance.
The location of the orifice tube is :

New Orifice Tube EX 5151C 302272679 S10 Trailblazer Blazer DeVille eBay
To show you an example withdrawing and principle of A/C system and where to look for your question.

Hope it helps.

Air conditioner in 1992 Buick Lesabre wasn't blowing cold air

If you would take the car to Auto Zone, ask the employee to show you where the "low pressure cut off switch" is located and ask him to supply you with a small jumper wire, it is possible the a/c charge is not enough if the low press. switch didnt come on to turn the compressor on so you need to jump it across the two wire terminals with a wire and the car running on high fan/a/c full cold, then install another can of freon and feel the cold, the system should typically hold approx. 2 2/4 cans of 134a freon to be full if it was empty.

Where is the orifice tube on a 98 Buick LeSabre located?

not exactly sure but using info below you can find it.

Remember the flow for the a/c system is :
1. From the compressor a high pressure (HP) gas goes to the condenser in front of the radiator.
2. From the condenser a HP liquid goes to an expansion device (orifice tube or expansion valve)
3. From expansion device the low pressure gas enters the firewall to the evaporator.
4. From evaporator the low pressure liquid/gas mixture goes through the dryer2_bing.gif back to the compressor suction.

There will be about a 1" nut on the low pressure line between the firewall and the compressor. Remove nut and on the male side use a pair of kneedle nose pliers and remove orifice tube. Note orientation of tube.

Replace tube, reassemble, evacuate air from system, recharge with freon.

Air conditioner works intermittently. Will just stop and start or go off and stay off for a couple days. The air that comes out when it does work is very cold. Any ideas what is wrong?

if you recently had the system recharged they may have over filled the system. The ac system has both a HIGH and a LOW cutoff point to keep from damaging the compressor. If it is cycling the compressor on and off (you should be able to tell this by the ac clutch clicking on and off occasionally. If the pressure on the lines gets too high it will cutoof to prevent blowing the lines, if it gets too low it will stop the compressor from damaging itself. I had overcharged my 90 nissan once and it acted this way, it really acted up especially on very hot days.
