All you have to do to remove the disc and press the MENU button on the right side of the touch screen and choose the NAV option to change the search area/database. One of the choices is to eject the disc. Good Luck.
If you can play a DVD, the nav disc is dirty or worn. Try gently cleaning it with a flat screen tv cleaning solution and try again. If a DVD won't play, the read head in the player is either dirty or shot - you should have an A/V shop try to clean it, as replacing the unit is $$$$$.
If you are using a DVD player in a different country to the one you purchased it in, then you may have issues reading a disk from a different zone. There is a region code on this webpage: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DVD_region_code
Hi i have the same issue same 2004 model year. Its reads...

GM radios and other electronics are serviced by any electronics repair shop that is authorized by AC Delco. Check your yellow pages for shops and ask them if they authorized.
The earlier Honda models have a Mitsubishi DVD player for the SAT NAV Disk, ...and the 09 Models have different (Alpine DVD Player) thus earlier player will not read the later disks.
Solution is to obtain a updated disk produced for the Mitsubishi DVD player whih are available from Honda,(at a price)

Depending on the model DVD/NAV system, the system is tapped into the E-brake switch. The only way to override is to install an external switch that works the same way as the E-brake switch. (a simple toggle switch may or may not work depending on the system design). Hopefully this helpd
