Key goes into ignition but wont turn.
Often this is caused by steering wheel interlock. Try turning wheel a little back and forth while trying to turn key to see if key now turns. Some cars require stepping ******* brake pedal and if the switch at the pedal has failed or become dislodged this can happen.
If ur gear stick didn't sit properly on park it won't start....secondly try to swerve the steering back nd forth nd unlock the key simultaneuosly
One of 3 things.
First, is it the right key?
If it worked before, then on to 2.
Two is, you have a locking pawl inside the steering column, to help prevent theft.
When and if the front wheels are "jammed" ( for example, up against a curb), the key can lock and not turn.
To fix it, have someone turn the steering wheel right or left whilst someone else tries to turn the key.
The person turning the wheel should start with a little pressure, and then increase the pressure until the key turns.
If that doesn't do it, a mechanic may have to take the steering column apart.
God bless your efforts.
