SOURCE: fuel problem
Check your fuel pressure at the Shredder valve, you should have 60PSI to 65PSI. If you have less then that or more then that your going to have problems with your fuel injection system. The other thing to is to check your fuel pressure regulator. Hook up the fuel pressure gauge and turn the ignition switch to the run position to activate the fuel pump. Once the pump stops pressurizing the fuel line wait and see if your losing the fuel pressure excessively. If you are then your may have a bad regulator and it's leaking internally. The other thing to is may be a bad fuel pump, The good news is the fuel pump in the sending unit in your bravada can be replaced rather then the whole unit. If it is the fuel pump, Buy a heavy duty pump to install to your sending unit. Don't have them sell you the whole unit, pump alone is around average $60.00 other then the whole unit for $230.00. Good luck and keep me posted, be glad to help
SOURCE: how do i replace the brake pads on a 98 oldsmobile
wow looking over your posts it sounds like you need a haynes or chiltons book if you plan on working on the 4 wheel drive you better have both. The brakes are fairly easy but you will probably need a set of allen wrenches that goes on a 3/8 s drive ratcheting wrench this allows you to get alot of torq on those 2 allens on the back side.i would also lift the whole front end up so that you can freely turn the wheels its tight under there.

The fuel pressure regulator is located under the intake plenum attached to the six in one fuel injector. They leak quite often causing hard start conditions. The injector is also known as a spider injector which will come with the regulator .

You need to relieve the fuel pressure, Gain access to the fuel rail, should be 4 or 5 bolts holding the fuel rail on... once you accessed and removed the fasteners, carefully pull up on the railon aboth sides.. a little wd may help release the injector seals, and you definitely wanna replace the lower o-rings... be careful liining the injectors up when u install the rail
SOURCE: My 2000 oldsmobile bravada does not want to start
This is kind of a long shot but if it is difficult to start after sitting all night but then starts just fine during the rest of the day then you may be just a pound or two low on fuel pressure. This engine needs a minimum of 60 psi of fuel to start properly. If you have only 59 psi it will crank and crank and finally start but will behave all day long as if nothing was ever wrong. You could also have a leaky fuel regulator or injector that is causing it to be partially flooded when you attempt to start it but usually those problems bothers more after the engine is warmed up. Even some new fuel pumps won't put out the needed 60+ psi and sometimes the fuel pressure regulator can go bad and not allow the pressure to build up to the 60+ psi range. The only true way to know for certain what the actual pressure is to have someone test it with a very accurate test gauge. Hope this helps out a bit and good luck.
