I would first check fuses. Second, check for any codes in the system. To make a motor run you need air, fuel, and spark. Pull a spark plug and use a spark plug tester while cranking the motor to determine if you have spark. If no spark, and you have replaced crank sensor I would suspect ignition control module unless you have coil over plugs. Also, when you turn the key on, listen for the injectors squirting fuel. Hard to diagnose with such little info. Just know your are missing one or more elements causing it not to start. If there is a mechanical issue inside the motor this could also cause a no start condition.

SOURCE: Vehicle dies while driving down the road.

could it be the A/C pump kicking in. might be boging down the motor or electrical circuit, not letting the injectors get enough power. This could happen if the bearings are going bad in th A/C pump or there is a short in it. Just an idea. sounds like you have done the main components.

SOURCE: my engine shuts off while im driving

Check ecm for number 1228253. If it has this one in it you will have a cutting off problem. Gm replaced these with #16198264 The cam sensor magnet on the cam gear will deteriorate and give problems. This will require removal of the timing cover.

SOURCE: "Cranks, but won't start". Replaced fuel pump, CKP, ICM & nothing

If the engine cranks over normally when you attempt to start you car, but the engine does not start, the problem may be NO FUEL, NO SPARK or NO COMPRESSION. The engine needs adequate fuel pressure, a properly timed spark and normal compression to start.

1) To find why the engine won't start, remove the air inlet tube from the throttle body, push the throttle open and spray a small amount of aerosol starting fluid into the engine. Crank the engine. If it has spark and compression but NO FUEL, it will start and run a few seconds before dying. If it does NOT start, it probably has NO SPARK.

2)Another method to check for spark is to pull a spark plug wire off of a spark plug (if it has plug wires, coil-on-plug ignitions do not) and place the open end of the plug wire near a metal surface on the engine. Have a helper crank the engine while you watch for a spark. DO NOT hold the wire while doing this as it can shock you. If you see a spark, the problem is not spark, but most likely NO FUEL or NO COMPRESSION. If you do not see a spark, the problem is in the IGNITION CIRCUIT.

3)Proper fuel pressure is critical for fuel injected engines to start and run. You should hear the fuel pump inside the fuel tank buzz for a couple of seconds when the ignition is turned on (no buzz means the pump is not running and the engine is not getting fuel). You can smell the tailpipe for gasoline vapors after cranking the engine. If you smell gas, the problem is likely not fuel but NO SPARK. You can also remove the plastic cap and press the schraeder valve test fitting on the fuel rail to see if there is any fuel pressure to the engine (not a very accurate test because fuel pressure must be at a certain level for the engine to start, for that you need a gauge). Even so, no fuel at the fuel rail would tell you fuel is not getting to the engine..

SOURCE: 2005 nissan frontier wont start i have fuel and

Take one of the spark plugs out and let us know what it looks like. Dry and light grayish tan means you have spark but fuel supply problems. Wet spark plug that smells like gas means it is more of a spark issue.

Good Luck

2007 Mazda CX-7 2.3 disi turbo. Crank no start tachometer does not move when I try to turn the car over.. No RPMs. Help please

2.3 L MZR L3-VDT DISI turbo I4
contradicted at cranks no start and RPM zero.
the starter spins the engine 300 RPM cranking but most dash tacho's are dead below 500. sure.
Cranks ,then starts and then runs and for more than 10 seconds.
that is a serial process on engines. it may start and stall at 10 seconds.

no crank has 6 to 8 causes
cranks fast but will not start has up 50 causes.
we can not hear your starter spin here, nor see crank spin fast.
we are blind and deaf (<< ask us is not easy/)
lets go with cranks fast and will not start.( i chose it)
well , key on and the IMMO lamp must nut be Unhappy per the lost users guide,in the glove box.
the easy answer is this, using only physics, tests. using TOOLS

1: engine is dead. and compression or leakdown tests fail, compression below 150psion one or more cylinders.(4)
2: next is spark is 1 or more cylinder.s(all 4) a test,
3: bad fueling , non, or bad fueling, and pump sounds mean little none. pump pressure matters, another tool;. PSI

watch,do and then ask better questions.
cranks means only that the starter works and spins the engines crank shaft fast (keep the battery charged at all times on any dead car)
the fuel dribble test only matters if DRY..a pressure gauge test is the only tool to use. for spec pressure.(ask)

My 2004 Chevy Malibu will not crank motor only spins. Ihave changed the spark plugs the coil pak and the fuel pump but all she does is spins.

Ihave changed the spark plugs the coil pak and the fuel pump ??????? Before replacing parts did you test the electrical Circuits for the fuel an ignition systems > You don't even know which system the problem is in . Hooking up a fuel pressure gauge an checking pressure and flow , Pulling a plug wire an seeing if there is spark. And it does crank . a crank no start condition . if the starter didn't spin the engine it would be called a no crank no start problem . Your best bet ,take it to a qualified repair shop . That has the diagnostic tool's and knowledge to diagnose the problem ,an not just replace parts . 047 Engine Hard to Start or No Start Scan Data for Ignition

2000 nissan frontier 3.3 v6 , put new fuel pump in , new distrubutor, new spark plugs, won't start ?

You seem to of covered most bases but are all of the things (air/ gas/ spark getting to the engine at the right time in the right amounts. FUEL PRESSURE? FUEL INJECTORS FIRING AT THE RIGHT TIME? SPARKING ? AT THE RIGHT TIME? PROPER AIR INTAKE (EMISSIONS?) You have may have to look into cam & crank sensors.

Why wont start

Ok well there is only two things that make a combustion engine run! If you are getting gas to the fuel rail and it has adequate fuel pressure at the rail then you have a spark problem! Pick up a spark tester( looks like a plug wire in a way but has a light ) Plug it into the first plug on the right side of the motor,(# 1 cylinder) and have a friend turn over the motor. There should be positive spark and the light indicator should light as a constant . If it is intermittent in any way than spark is why u will not start. Then on these years I always start with a new coil or coil packs depending on your type of engine! Hope this helps!! Just my opinion and I could be wrong ! Good luck.

Car will not crank engine seem to be locked up

Assuming the battery is fully charged, and starter is in o.k. condition, and the engine has no serious damage, you could try removing the spark plugs and make sure the engine cylinders are not full of fuel or,( hydrolocked). If it is, ground out the ignition (to prevent fire) and remove the fuel pump fuse. Next, while covering the engine with rags, (or whatever you have) crank the engine to expel fuel from the cylinders.Next put spark plugs back in and reconnect the ignition. Do not put fuel pump fuse in yet, while cranking engine, spray starting fluid in throttle body, if it starts, replace fuel pump fuse and try again. Hope this helps.

My ram 1500 will turn over but not run

you need to determine if you have good spark at plugs while turning the engine over,if you do then you need to find out how much fuel pressure your pump is putting out,you can check this with a fuel pressure gauge and check it at the reed valve on the fuel rail, turn the key on and the pump will operate for five seconds look at your gauge you will need at least 55psi to fire the engine,if you don't you can try the fuel filter first.

Audi 100s 1993 cranks doesn,t start, turns over no start. when it starts runs rough and stalls.

could very well be a faulty sensor, leaky vaccum hose, bad coil packs, needing of new fuel filter, spark plugs, wires.

Have you checked your fuel pressure to make sure it is good. You can do this with fuel pressure tester on the fuel rail.

Also check every cylinder for spark
If you don't have any spark, or very weak spark, you could have bad coil pack, module, or crank sensor.

You can remove one plug at a time, and place it back on plug wire, place it on top of engine block, have someone else turn motor over well you observe to see if there is spark.

Do you have a service or check engine light on? If so, I would have the engine codes read to pinpoint exact problem area.

Let me know if you have any questions or need further help
