My clock periodically resets itself. None of my presets for radio change. Nothing else resets, just the time.

I have a 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer ES.

Spray contact cleaner on all of the controls just used for setting the clock and see if that does the trick.

I'm not having a problem setting the clock. It's resetting the time when i shut my car off.

  • richie46 Feb 25, 2016

Did you check to see if power to your clock is being shut off when you turn the car off?

I'm not sure how i would check that? It's strange the clock is the only thing impacted.

Changed battery on 2008 lancer. Now heater and radio/navi wont even turn on. Any advice please??? Fuses replacement?Which ones? Thanks a million and more. Lisa

try using a code reader to reset the CPU for starters and go from there . If it doesn't help use the code reader to check for faults.

Ever since I took out my battery and put it back in the radio hasn't work. None of the buttons work except the volume when a cd is in but nothing else works. It's a pioneer radio deh p7500mp.

Looks like it's the same thing that happens when I remove the power cord from my home hi-fi system... when I reconnect it it goes crazy on display mode till I reset the clock. In your case, the obvious difference is that it may have lost the clock time and memory presets.. see if retiming the clock and reprograming the tunner presets does the trick.. also check the memory fuse...usually the one on a pink wire.

Regarding my 2009 Mitsubishi Lancer: Recently I took the radio out of my car and when I put it back in- It only functions when the headlight are on. Need to find the solution to fix it back to normal. Also...

befor you removed raido did you disable your anti theft if not then you need to have the anti theif reconfiged by a dealer, the reason it works with lights on is that its a over ride so if you raido gets theifted you will still be able to drive the car.

I can't enter the radio code in my 2005 Lancer

On your radio your preset stations each have a number 1,2,3,4,5,etc. The first preset station represents the first number in your code. Lets say your code is 1212(example) then you would: [press #1 preset-1 time.] [press #2 preset-2 times.] [press #3 preset-2 times.] [press #4 preset-1 time.]
Once you've entered your code press the cd button.
Good Luck.
