Jesse, The module will not stop fluid to rear brakes, a bad master cylinder will, leaking lines, air in brake system, faulty metering block if equipped, collapsed flex lines or pinched brake line faulty caliper or brake cylinders, etc. will cause the possible feeling of no rear brakes.
(ABS Module components) the ABS speed sensors and the ABS control module . When the brake is applied, the ABS control module reads the speed data from the speed sensor and sends the correct pressure to each wheel to prevent any wheel lock up, eg. sliding/skidding Links below have more info.

I think your question is "what is an ABS module " if so an ABS or anti lock brake Module controls the power of the braking system sometimes only to the rear wheels but most times nowdays its to all wheels , this module takes info from the sensors around the car and determines if the "force" to the braking system needs to be reduced in order to keep vehicle under control in a stop , these systems are mostly "fail safe" in meaning if they fail or have a problem they just allow full power to brakes and don't "reduce" any longer till there repaired , but car will no longer have benefit of staying in control in a panic stop or slippery roads

Why does my ABS light stays on and sometimes i get a vibration in the brake petal causing my 2002 Cadillac escalade not wanting to stop?

The light being on means the system has detected a problem in one or more sensors. The vibration is the ABS modulating the brakes to prevent skidding because it has detected a wheel that is locked up. That wheel is most likely the one sensor that is giving you the error.

2008 escalade ext, cant bleed front brakes

some have bleeder screws on the abs control module if this does not help to remove the air i have used syringes filling them up and pressure filling the caliper and air returns to master cylinder takes about 3 ounces of brake fluid per side.

Bleeding brakes after changing the lines

You will have to take it to a Dealer or someone that has as 'special' reader to over-ride the ABS system.

Code 48 appears with the 93 Allante. It says EBTCM modular problem or a Brake pressure modulator, Information center on car says Traction disabled, abs disabled and low brake fluid The red brake light...

Before replacing any expensive parts replace the brake fluid sensor. disconnect the electrical connector. squeeze the two tabs together and push it out slide the new one in and connect the electrical connector, then road test it. This sensor is on the bottom of the brake fluid reservior, you DO NOT have to drain the fluid out

I just changed the brakes all the way around a 2003 escalade and now the service brake system message appears......how do i reset that?

Check the ABS hub reluctor ring to make sure it was not damaged in any way when you put everything back together. Also check all the wires to make sure none are crimped or disconnected. Lastly check the brake master cylunder for fluid level. Sometimes after retracting the pistons forcing more fluid into the master cylinder will cause this meesage. If the fluid level is to high simply remove some.

2002 Escalade - ABS light on, and motor noise after cutting off vehicle

The ABS is your braking system it could be your brakes are bad like the pads or the rotors. So the sensor will come on until you fix the brake pads or rotors. Go to any mechanic shop and let them diagnose the problem most shops will inspect your brakes for free also explain what you here and what it doe's.
