Joas, the relays are under the hood, in a black plastic box sometimes labeled fuse/relay center. there also may be a fusible link in same area. check your manual.

Testimonial: "Another question I have, my engine light is on all the time with the code p140A is that something that I can fix myself ? on not ,.and there is a rattle sounds like something maybe in the exaust system by muffler shop say some guard is loose but I cant find any loose guard any where and wonderind if that code could have anything to do with it????"

P140A - Exhaust Gas Re circulation (EGR) Cooler Bypass Valve. Position Sensor Exceeded Learning Limit
A P140a is 99% of the time a faulty egr bypass valve. (Back passenger side of the engine single brown connector)
the diagnostic for that code is really just a visual check and requires removal of the turbo exhaust on that side and the front egr cooler.

Look for any soot build up that could cause the valve to stick. You can try to clean It best you can but more than likely it will need replaced.

Jeep runs fine want shut off with key

Time to change out your ignition switch. Sounds like the internals of the switch leading to the electrical or lever part of the switch to start or shut off is broken and all you get now is a key that will turn to the off position but will not engage correctly to turn the internals to cut power to the engine.

What would cause the engine to not turn of when removing the Ignition key on a 2003 Navigator.

sticking relay contacts in the PCM power relay , maybe . It's located in the central junction box . That is the inside the vehicle fuse box. That relay supply's power to the engine computer , ignition system , fuel etc.... If the contacts are stuck closed or sticking the engine would keep running with key off .

What is the clicking noise come from the relay fuse box with e the motor off and the key out

It could be a couple of things. Try finding out which relay is clicking by touching the top of each relay. You'll be able to feel the click. The lid to the fuse box should have a diagram of what each relay controls. If the fuse box doesn't have the information, your car's manual will have it. In the back, look for "Fuse."

I have a 93 dakota and when i am driving it will shut down all of a sudden and the fuel pump will not kick back on i have replaced the fuel pump relay and the auto shut off relay and truck still will mot...

Perform a fuel pressure test. Take the cap off and install a fuel-pressure tester. Turn the key on and check the pressure. It should be 49 psi. If there is pressure, the problem is elsewhere. Disconnect the fuel-pump harness, which is located on the back side of the fuel tank toward the rear of the vehicle. Use a voltmeter and test the harness side for power when a helper cycles the key. Remember that there will be power for only two seconds at a time. Since the computer does not see the engine turning, it shuts the fuel pump down. Just have the helper cycle the key on for five seconds and off for five seconds while the harness is tested. If there is power to the pump, it is obviously a bad fuel pump. If not, the wiring between the relay and the fuel pump is faulty.

Is there a fuse or relay for air suspension for a 1999 expedition

Hello
Since you're looking for fuses and relays, I will assume that the compressor is not working. First check the suspension service shut off
switch located under the right side of the dash. If thats on, go to the fuse block under the left side of the dash and check fuses #4-#5-#20-#2
If they're ok, move to the fuse block under the hood on the left fender and check fuse #109 a large 50amp fuse it's best to use a 12v test light.
If that checks out, check the compressor relay located near the right
headlight assy. there will be 4 wires from the relay, lt blue/pink(hot to fuse #109) lt green/red(grnd to compressor) grey/red pwr to compressor)
drk blue/yell to suspension/steering module located behind ctr of dash.
Before you start these tests turn key to on(should be on for all tests)
use the 12v test light and test for power from grey/red wire at the
compressor + check lt grn/red wire for good ground. If you have pwr+grnd it's most likely a bad compressor. But if no power perform the
above tests. Hope this helps.

Put in fuel pump the pump is not making a noise, car wont start.

Check fuel pump fuse with key on and with a test light. Fuse should light test light on both sides of fuse. The check fuel pump relay (not sure of location) probably is fuse panel in engine dept. should here it click when key is turned on. You can do this next step 1st or last and thats check power at the plug were harness plugs into sending unit. Have someone turn egnition on and off every 3 to 4 seconds due to power to pump usually shuts if car is not running every 3 - 4 seconds.

Fuel pump relay location 1997 celica

The relay and fuse is located under the hood in the relay box. It will be labeled on the lid. If fuse is good, then test the relay. Pull it out and with a test light see if there is power. If there is then remember that one. Have some one turn the key on and find another power wire. There should be 2 powers. If there is only one power then there maybe a problem in the ignition switch. If there is 2 powers then you need to get to the top of the fuel tank and see if power is getting to the pump. The power at the pump will be there for only a few seconds once the key is turned on and then will drop off. Let us know how it goes.

Solenoid was bad replaced it fuel relay was making a bad vibrating noise replaced that truck will turn over but now cant her fuel pump running will not start up

Check the fuel pump cut off switch located behind the carpet on the passenger side up unde the heater box, pull the carpet back and see if the button on top of the switch is pressed down, if not there behind the panel passenger footwell right side same thing also make sure the switch has power coming in and going out. BUT! you gotta be quick the fuel pump relay controls this power and only suppllies power for 2-3 seconds then it turns off. so plan ahead get your test equipment all set-up and surn the ignition on if you have power great turn off the key and move test stuff to tho other wire on the fuel shut off switch get ready and turn on the key power good no power bad fuel pump switch but No power to the switch likely a bad ffuel pump relay.
