Mostly the anti-theft system cannot be bypassed. Even the paasive system works at two levels with the code in the transponder key being recognised and matched by the code programmed into one of those pesky black boxes which in turn sends another signal to unlock the engine management ECU.

In the case of a low value vehicle where proper repairs to the security system would be uneconomic it is possible to have the ECU decoded.

SOURCE: need instuctions to change tail/break lights on 07 dodge caliber

popohead, if people thought it was easy, they wouldn't be here asking. Your reply is useless.

To remove the pins, look a them closely. Notice that there's two little notches cut into the cup that holds the pin. Use a flathead on each side to leveredge them out a little. If that doesn't work at all, you can use a pair of pliers to firmly grip the head of the pin and pull straight out. Quick firm pull.

Once the first pin comes out, the second pin should easily come out. At that point, firmly grip your taillight housing, and pull straight back: Don't try to wiggle it out, and don't try to lift it to one side or the other like a trunk or door. Just pull it firmly straight back like you would a dresser drawer.

Once it's out, the little wiring harnesses come out of the taillight housing with about a 1/4 turn, and the bulbs just slide straight out of those.

Good luck!

SOURCE: how do i install a alternator for a 07 dodge

you will need to disconnect the negative battery cable at the battery, remove right front wheel, remove underbody air dam, remove accessory drive splash shield, remove the accessory drive idler pulley. Next loosen the lower mounting bolt, then loosen the a/c compressor and relocate(pull down and to the outboard side of the vehicle to make room for the alternator the come out) next uplug field circuit from alternator and the B+ terminal nut and wire. remove upper mounting bolt on the alternator and lower mounting bolt. relocate the terminal to the other side of the a/c line. Rotate alternator pulley down and slide down and out of vehicle. Yes, its a pain in the ****.

Torque spec for maniverter bolts on a 07 dodge caliber rt

The torque specification for the manifold to catalytic converter bolts on a 2007 Dodge Caliber RT with a 2.4L engine is 26 Nm (19 lb-ft). It's important to use a torque wrench to ensure the proper torque is applied to the bolts to avoid over-tightening or under-tightening, which could lead to problems with the exhaust system.

07 dodge caliber cranks won't start no spark changed crank sensor still won't start

I need to know what fault codes you have in the memory of the powertrain control module. Also which engine you have. If you have not run a fault code test rent a code reader and do the testing, the diagnostic link connector is under the dash on the drivers side.

On my 07 dodge caliber a lightening bolt appeared between 2 lines and the check engine light came on but everything ran fine. Please advise. Thank you

Have a repair shop check for codes every time
any light comes on your dash

Then you know if any systems have a fault & if you
should continue to use it prior to repairs
