Location of #1 piston on 2005 ford taurus

There are three variations of the Taurus engine. All are 3.0L in size. Leave it to Ford to make things confusing. All have the same piston location, although one model has coil packs and the other has coil-on-plug. Here is a diagram showing the piston position and firing order.

How to isntall pistons cups holding to the cranckshaft?? I don't know what direction they have to go can someone pls help me?

Assuming you have your pistons facing forward correctly, the caps should have locating pins or an arrow you can face forward. A shop manual would be a big help here, probably. don-ohio

Changing rear brake pads on 2008 Ford Taurus and a threaded rod located within the caliber piston prevents compression of piston back into the caliber.

You need a special tool for rear pads. The pistons have to be turned in, there is either slots or holes in the piston for the tool to fit in, then just turn the piston clockwise and push a little at the same time.
Just turn them in far enough for the new pads to slide over the rotor.

Where is bank1 and bank 2 located on a lincoln LS?

On all cars, the bank 1 is where the first piston is...Your firing order on that car which is the first piston...Buy a chilton or a repair manual for your car and it will tell you which firing order your motor has....Its usually on the right hand side...Passenger side...Rule of thumb if you look at the spark plugs the one closest too you is usually the first piston....Bank 1 is located on the same side as the first piston...I hope this helps...

How do i screw rear pistons back in to caliper when changing pads

Hi, To screw the pistons back in to change the pads you need to apply pressure to the piston at
the same time.
There are location holes or slots in the piston to enable to do this.
There are special tools to do this job ( quite cheap to buy from motor spares places ).
Before i bought the tools myself i used longnosed pliers locating them in the piston then press
and turn ( It takes a fair bit of pressure ).
hope i have been able to help you.
