This is tricky Steve and aggravating to say the least.
Some thoughts:

  1. How good was the milling, grinding or machining of the cylinder head? Who really knows? Sometimes you get what you pay for.
  2. The cylinder head bolts require a very specific bolt down torque. Double check that.
  3. Was the gasket an OEM part or aftermarket? Makes a big diofference.
  4. Finally, is it really the head gasket joint that's leaking? Look closely. Maybe it's the coolant sensor tap that's leaking.
Hope this helps,
Good luck
Bud

Hi Steve:
Bud is leading you in the right direction.
My suggestion is to first track down the exact location of the leak.
To do this, first relieve any radiator pressure buy backing off the radiator cap (Cold engine). Then wipe down the area where the leak appears to be. Make sure it is dry, then check with a kleenex to look for the slightest bit of damp. Get a light and mirror so you can clearly see what will be happening. Start it up, run for a couple of minutes, shut down, look for the leak.
All of this is necessary to find the source.
It is also possible that there is a crack in the block or head, both of which are really annoying.
All the best.

89 25hp evinrude water in top cylinder good compression in both. Head shaved all new gaskets an cylinders look brand new. Pull plug off top cylinder no change pull bottom one off it dies.

Are you saying you are getting water in the top cylinder even after doing Head gaskets? How clean was the Engine Block where the gasket sits? sure sounds like you still have a coolant leak to the cylinder

What's a major head gasket leak

The head gasket seals the area between the head and engine block. When the seal leaks pressure from the cylinder can leak out and get into the coolant system or just to the outside, depending on the location of the leak. The proper way to fix that issue is to remove the head and install a new gasket along with fixing any other possible issues.

Any type of quick fixes for head gaskets problem that works

No.
Once the head gasket is damaged it has to be replaced, and in most cases the metal surfaces have to be milled or shaved to make them flat before the new gasket is installed.
Once in a while you can add a radiator stop leak and it will plug up a small hole or missing piece of the gasket, but once the block heats up the patch will not hold. Products like block sealer tend to clog up the cooling passages in the head which makes the problem worse.

2005 Dodge Ram1500 White Mist/smoke from exhaust pipe.

One of the gaskets has blown at a point where the a water jacket is blowning into the cylinders but not mixing with an oil jacket on the heads. Try to use some Bars Leak and see if you can get it to seal and if not, their are also aluminum shavings mixed with sealer for some of the worse problems. If it seals you will then know that it will need a gasket replacement at some point

Water into oil and white smoke... already check thermostat... 1993 lexus es300... can timing belt cause this? or what/

the engine is leaking coolant internally, via either a bad head gasket, cracked cylinder head, or cracked block.

Engine oil leaking into radiator

you either have a cracked block or the head job they did is not good. It is very easy to screw up a head job. Also they may not have put in the right gasket. If they had to shave a lot of the head off, then you need a thicker gasket. If they used the standard head gasket will break or leak again.

Engine idles irratic

Did you have the head machined/shaved before you replaced the head gasket with a new one? If not--do over---machine head---replace gasket.

BUT, before you even bother, have you considered the fact that the BLOCK may be cracked? You can check this by looking at each spark (plug for combustion residue of coolant or oil) of each cylinder separately.
