Is it always idling high?? Or just when you accelerate?? If its running high all the time, suspect a vacuum leak( unplugged vaciuun hoses, intake manifold leak, etc.) If it only does it when you accelerate and it wont come back to idle, suspect a bad tps or something sticking and letting your throttle to stay open.

SOURCE: idle

Most likely a failed "IAC"; Idle AIr Control valve; located on the side of the throttle body.

SOURCE: DRIVE BELT ON 2002 TOYOTA CAMRY

If you are referring to the vehicle having a "Timing Belt", no, it does not have one.
The 2002 Camry 4 cylinder has a Timing CHAIN, and does not need to be replaced.

SOURCE: 2002 camry battery changed, dies in idle

When you take your battery out and put a new one in all your computer controls have to be reset. You need to drive the car at 55 MPH for 2 min or so, stop, go through normal drive cycle, stop and go and then if it don't straighten out you need to clean the throttle body and the idle air control valve. Hope this helps. PHil

SOURCE: 2002 camry battery changed, dies in idle

Check the manufacture's Cold Cranking Amps (CCA) rating.  Some manufacturers recommend a minimum CCA.  If your CCA is below the manufacturer's specs, it can cause your car to run erratically.  This also can cause problems with your computer and give you faulty DTC's. (Diagnostic Trouble Codes - Service Engine Soon Light)  This especially causes problems with General Motors cars.  I'm always hearing of people with these problems.  Let me know how it works.

SOURCE: 2002 toyota camry dies when I take my foot off the gas pedal

The ignition is too low (i,e, rpm). Increase it.

Rpm does not drop below 1000

No,only on carburated engines it,idles down to the set point,on yours,it's fuel injected, pushing gas pedal won't kick idle down, should go down after a certain amount of time, does it automatically,If you start and drive a 5 mile ride and stop at a stop sign,it should idle at it's set point if there's no engine problems, which may be.5 to .7 on your tac. When you normally first start,it will idle between 1000 to 1200 rpm's,don't push on gas,let idle say 15 seconds, put in drive and go.

2000 GMC Savanna, oil pressure guage drops to

You need to pull the pressure sensor and install a manual test gage, (borrow from Autozone or other chain part store) that is the only way to verify the engine is not loosing oil pressure.

GMC throttle body problems

It is running lean. Did someone adjust the air opening vane to make open more at full throttle? Check it with a scan tool. Change the Idle Air Control valve. The only cost a couple bucks and are easy to change. You may have trash in your fuel bowls clogging or blocking idle jets.

Engine idles up and down and when I come to a stop

Check for a clogged/bad IAC motor. It is what controls the idle of the vehicle. Sounds like yours is malfunctioning.
