Clean the throttle body and idle air control motor(Maf sensor if you have one). Check the air filter, replace if needed.

SOURCE: acceleration hesitation

This sounds like a shorted spark plug wire or a bad spark plug.

SOURCE: i have a 93 ford probe se the fuel cutoff light is on

when you are traveling about 35 or 40 mph press the brake just hard enough to make shudder let off do it again let and off. if you can control the shudder that way then its the brake if does not do it til you slow to a certian speed then the problem may be engine related. As far as the low idle there is an idle stabilizer which can definitely cause that problem. Or in some case an aged timing belt can cause similar issuses

SOURCE: location of fuel filter on 1995 ford probe

On all models except the Millenia, the fuel filter is attached to a bracket located in the left rear of the engine compartment, next to or beneath the brake master cylinder fluid reservoir.

I would take the truck to an autoparts store and have the fault codes retrieved from the computer. Most stores will do the scan for free. I would lean toward a faulty throttle position sensor, but that's just speculation. The fault codes should narrow the problem down. Hope this helped and best wishes.

I GUESS YOU HAVE TESTED FUEL PRESSURE.SO THERE IS A INERTCIA SWITH ON FIRD THIS SHUTS FUEL OFF IN CASE OF A WRECK THIS IS AT THE KICK PANELS IN FRONT MOST THE TIME I HAVE SEEN THEM IN THE TRUCK. IT HAS A RED BUTTON ON TOP IF YOU PUSH IT IN IF IT CLICKS IT HAS BEEN SET.IF THATS NOT IT MAKE SURE ITS NOT YOUR ALARM SYSTEM .FUEL FILTER COULD BE CLOGGED. CHECK FOR 12V AT PUMP. AND FUEL GAUGE

My 2004 ford freestar van is hesitating going down the road. i change the egr valve . could it be the fuel filter

most likely not the fuel filter- try plugs and wires... could be a number of things, if the vehicle runs fine while in park and doesnt hesitate, most likely is sprk plugs and wires or a transmission problem...

Hesitation on take off

Have you changed your Spark Plugs
Have you added any FUEL additives or Injector or octane boaster
Have you changed your OIL and put the correct weight
Have you changed FUEL (89 to 92) or the new FUEL reduced emission (EA40) i think that's what that is called sorry
Have you checked the Throttle Cable Tension (CARBRATOR) opens close the valve

Loss of power with hesitation

Is your check engine light on? If so have someone run a diagnostic scan to try and pinpoint the culprit. This could be caused by any number of ignition/emission/ or fuel system problems such as filters, sensors, plugs, etc. If I had to guess than I'd check the EGR valve system and possibly the O2 sensors. A "clogged" catalytic converter would suggest this. Did you notice a rotten egg like smell from the car. Converters usually rust away these days...
