The speedo just started acting erratic, I live a cold climate. It has acted funny til the car warmed up.but is ok after that.Anyone with similar problems with a fix would be appreciated.

Mine did the same thing And it was the fuel pump relay

One thing to check could possibly be a bad altanator which could cause the iggnition to run rough and make gauges act funny.

Have you tried replacing the oil sender switch on engine yet?

Your air idle sensor needs to be clean.

if you can't jump start it in the cold bring battery into warm place and put it on a charger.the cold is an enemy of batteries. but this might happen again battery sounds like its weak, unless car has been sitting in cold for long time.you can get a new battery for about 60 dollars have all your problems solved.

you might have what they call a electronic speed control sensor that is in line with your speedo thats going bad

This problem can be several things. When your engine is cold, your computer is in a "closed loop" and just pretty much keeps the engine running until warmed up. After reaching operation temperature, the computer starts reading all the sensors. If one sensor is not connected or is defective, you will experience performance problems. Most of the time this will turn on the check engine light, but not always. Second is the fuel pump. This too will cause erratic engine problems.

Check fuel pressure, and regulator. A leaking regulator gives a warm engine more fuel [ it does not like it] a cold motor does. same as a flooded motor. Good luck

Have your battery tested. When the battery has a problem the dodges will act this way.
