Radio turns on and lights up but buttons on the radio don't work and cannot eject CD however radio will operate using steering stalk controls???

They appear to have been custom builts and not a genuine Toyota product line. It would depend on what chassis they were put on.

On my slightly more modern Lexus Toyota, it is all done from a single stalk on the lower right side of the steering column below the wiper / washer functions. There is a certain speed you have to be going for it to be operative, something like 35mph.

Press the button in the end to turn it on. Light on dash 'Cruise'.
Push stalk down to maintain the speed you are at.
Pull the stalk towards you to Cancel or touch Foot Brake.
Push stalk up to Resume your previously set speed.

All steering wheel controls will no longer work, unless it is a compatible model for your vehicle.

Usually a stalk on the steering wheel where the lights are controlled from. Pull the stalk back towards you to flash the lights.

You also have a button that makes all the indicators lights flash. That is called a Hard Warning Lights.

before you press the cd on button keep holding the eject button while you press power on, I know this works for computers etc.

you can look for a radio shop to repair the cd player it would be cheaper to install a aftermarket radio they do have kits if you have steering wheel controls

Hi Shannon, befor you dive in and replace the indicator switch I would suggest you check the flasher unit. To replace the indicator switch you will need to remove the steering wheel (this usually means using a puller) Don't forget to punch match marks on the steering wheel and the column which must be aligned when assembling. Remove the steering wheel center cover. then the covers on the steering column Removed the screws (usually four) holding the stalk switch. don't forget to disconnect the battery and the wiring connection to the stalk switch. After replacing the assembly is opposite.to dismantling. Regards John

its not likely its a fuse else it wouldnt work at all. you should see a specialist

Turn the radio off first and then disconnect the battery for 2 min then reconnect the battery. This should reset your radio and then you can eject your CD, and reset your stations and clock. Good luck

The front radio control bezel has failed and needs to be replaced. You can unplug the ETACs ecu and plug it back in and it will wake the panel up, but it will only last a few hours before it happens again.

This is an emerging problem on 08+ Lancers and 07+ Outlanders

i di have the same problem and hit the steering wheel. This soves it sometimes for the whole ride
