It starts, but why are all the service lights on the dashboard lit up?

The car doesn't die after starting it I've let it run for some time and moved it in drive and reverse in the drive way I know it's not far but have done it several times over several days the problem is all the service lights on the dashboard are lit up and stay lit after starting it. The clock works wipers work but the windows, radio, power steering and brakes are not working.

Usually it indicates the alternator is not charging. Get yourself a volt meter that plugs into the cigarette lighter. Read the voltage before and after you tart the car. The voltage should go up from 12v to 13/14v. Keep an eye on it. If it slowly goes down, then the alternator needs to be checked.

Your alternator is not charging the Battery, I would replace the battery with a new gel battery and have the alternator checked, bets on your battery just died.

2004 hyundai santa fe parked it last night, went to use it today and it doesn't accelerate, engine runs fine, no warning lights on dashboard lit, can put it in gear and move it, but absolutely no...

The 04 Santa Fe came with three different engines. 4 cylinder (2.4 lit), and two different V6's (2.7 lit & 3.5 lit). The 2.4 & 2.7 use throttle cables connected directly to the throttle plate, but the 3.5 uses ETS (Electronic Throttle System) which uses two sensors (APS & TPS) and a control module (ETSCM). APS=Accelerator Position Sensor, TPS=Throttle Position Sensor, ETSCM= Electronic Throttle System Control Module. There are different diagnostic procedures for each system.

The battery light (left hand side) on my dashboard lit up less than 24 hours ago.  while I was driving home, all the lights started to come on and then dimming.  Then the car began to just "die" then...

Check belt(s) first then put voltmeter on battery and record voltage while running if you can, even if you have to jump it to get it going. take time to read owners manual & locate any fuses that may be associated with alternator circuits, most likely in power distribution box under hood, and check for one blown. Do you have a 12v test light by chance?
