That's a good start. Code 300 is the code for a random miss. None of the cylinders are loosing RPM enough to point to one cylinder. At least not yet. You may have to wait until the problem gets bad enough to have a dead miss on one cylinder. Fuel injectors or fuel pressure is another possible cause as well as a vac leak.
I had a friend that had this problem.I work at a G.M.dealership and I ask a friend that does trans work there. He said this is normal in cold weather. This is done in order for the trans to reach operating temperature sooner. This could be why you are unable to fix this problem because it is normal.I looked in service info to see if I could find a bulletin or something to back this up but I did not find anything.I know this guy very well and I know he knows his work and is good at it.Hope this helps.Good luck.
make sure you put the right plugs in the fault is most likely the coil pack follow the plug leads from the spark plugs and you will reach the coil pack about £60
I would test for a leaking intake manifold gasket. WITH A WATER SPRAYER , and the engine running at operating temps and at idle, spray some water where the intake meets the cylinder head. If you hear a little SUCKING SOUND, and the engine smooths out temporarily, thats it Hope this helps
You have a bad Alternator, the charging voltage is too low at idle so when you get to 2500 RPM its enough to take the lights off. Good Luck contact me if you need more help.
