Where is clutch safety switch? - 1997 Saturn SL

I do not believe that this vehicle has a neutral safety switch. I believe that it has a Clutch Pedal Position Switch. It is attached to the clutch pedal itself.

Typically the clutch safety switch is located on the clutch pedal, not the clutch itself or the clutch master cylinder. How have you confirmed your current issue is the safety switch? What are the symptoms?

Your description seems to be a bit strange. The brakes and clutch have nothing to do with each other. So it will either be a clutch safety switch or a brake safety switch. There will NOT be a switch for both together.

To remove the switch, follow these steps:
• Underneath the dash, you will see the clutch safety switch - locate two tabs on its body
• Squeeze them together and pull upwards
• Now, the cover of the clutch safety switch will quickly come off
• The switch will come right of from the pushrod

I'm still awaiting more details from my comment above, but if the car does absolutely nothing when you try to crank it (with the clutch depressed), it "may" be a faulty clutch safety switch (in automatics they call it a neutral safety switch).
On your manual trans car, the clutch safety switch will be mounted with one bolt on the bracket next to the clutch pedal arm.
Follow the clutch pedal arm upward (under the dash) and you should see the clutch safety switch with a 2-wire plug attached to it.

Here is a pic of the actual switch (note that yours may be black, white, or another color). But this is what it should generally look like.
In real life, it's about 2" long (not counting the plastic actuator arm).

of course!...however you do not want to bypass this safety switch! bypassing it will allow a car in gear to start...possibly running over and/or killing someone! get a cheap switch at a salvage yard!

The clutch start switch in a Camry is normally on the floorboard in front of the clutch pedal lever. It can sometimes be mounted on the clutch lever pivot point.

It is connected into the starter motor circuit, as shown here
