No reset button. You have 2 options. First locate and remove radio fuses, wait a minute or two and reinstall fuses. Second you can remove the radio and pull the wiring harness from it and again wait a minute or two and plug back in.
1. Collect all remotes that you wish to program. This procedure will erase all previously programmed remotes. You must program all existing and new remotes that you wish to use on the vehicle at this time.
2. Locate the Data Link Port underneath the driver side dashboard use image above for reference.
3. Jump terminal 8 to terminal 4. User a jumper wire or bent paper clip to connect the two ports. Locks will cycle to confirm programming
4. Press and hold lock and unlock button on the remote being programmed. Hold until the locks cycle again signaling successful programming. Repeat this step for any additional remotes.
5. Remove the jumper wire or paperclip to exit programming mode.
I don't know exactly on this vehicle but a lot of them are behind the kick panel on the passenger front side under the dash. These panels pull off with a bit of force.
that's how they get you. you need a scanner to reset it. try looking for a small shop possibly one that deals with european cars. they might charge you less to do it. they should reset it for you if you let bmw change the oil for you.
With the ignition switch on but the vehicle not started simply press the gas pedal all the way to the floor 3 times. This action will reset the OIL light. This is a orange display on the dashboard that will light up once and reset. Let me know how this works for you!
