SOURCE: timing belt removal for 1997 Dodge Avenger

There is some stuff to remove first, like the P.S. reservoir, the front motor mount (put a jack under engine with a piece of wood between), possibly the alternator bracket-not sure. And of course, the serpentine belt and the crankshaft pulley. Then the covers can come off. You'd better get a repair manual-it's pretty involved-even the procedure for cover removal. Or you can register for free at autozone.com, listing your car there. The site gives a fair number of model-specific repair procedures, including replacing the timing belt.
Good luck.

Need timing belt mark diagram for the 2000 2.2 daewoo laganza

Hi and welcome to FixYa, I am Kelly

Below are the 2 pictures that should answer your question:

Camshaft:
http://ww2.justanswer.com/uploads/dinotapia/2009-10-07_061546_cam_timing_marks_daywoo.png
Crankshaft:
http://ww2.justanswer.com/uploads/dinotapia/2009-10-07_061602_crank_mark_daywoo.png

Just note that even with all the timing marks aligned you can still have the ignition timing 180 degrees incorrect. I.e the intake, exhaust and crankshaft can all be in time but the engine will miss-fire back through the intake due to incorrect IGNITION timing.

Thanks for choosing FixYa,
Kelly
