SOURCE: kia brake prob.

It's probably leaking behind the master cylinder and into the brake booster. If you have a manual transmission, it can also be leaking from the clutch, but it's probably the master cylinder. I just replaced this in mine. Check to see if any is leaking down the back of the firewall. You could loosen the bolts that hold the master to the booster and see if anything leaks out from behind there. If it does replace the master. Not hard to do yourself, just bench bleed the master cylinder and rebleed the brakes when you're done. It's also a good idea to replace the front pads at the same time, or you'll push the contaminated fluid into the new master the next time you do it.

SOURCE: losing brake fluid(2001 kia sportage)

Check the rear wheel cylinders if you have drum brakes on the rear. Check the master cylinder cap to be sure it's on right & snug. Use D.O.T. 3 fluid, not synthetic. If you're losing fluid there's a reason. Check the front brake pads & slides for the calipers, could be frozen with rust & eating up the pads. Fluid would seem low if the pads are shot.

SOURCE: brake lights not working, fuse

Check the brake switch above and behind the brake pedal. It may have slipped out of position or could be faulty. It can be tested with a meter.

SOURCE: 2001 kia sportage brake fluid leak problem

kia s leak is common in the proportioning valve located on the fire wall two line from the master cylinder to the pv then 4 lines comming out, Ther eic two hew nuts on the top of the valve. Simply look at the one that is wet take a 16 mm ratchet and take off the hex nut. Now there are two different set ups in this nut but the fix is the same. Rplace the bottom o ring. On one of the set ups it has a small cover dont lose it the o ring is under this cover

My 2007 Kia Sorento brake fluid/ parking light comes on when brakes are applied forcefully ,it flashes on and off as brake is released fluid level is full and brakes work fine what could cause this

Difference in pressure between the two circuits of the fuel lines will cause the proportion valve to light the light. Check for leaks at the wheel cylinders and calipers. Somewhere you've got a pressure drop.

IP Brake light has come on in my 2004 Kia Sorento.. what does this mean?

Kia Sorento parking brake or brake fluid dash warning light - this light is illuminated when the park brake is applied, the warning light should go out when the parking brake is released. If the light does not go out it indicates that the brake fluid level in the reservoir is low and you need to pull over and top up at your first opportunity.

1-check parking brakes not applied
2-check brake fluid
3-if it is too low have the brakes checked they might be wearing out it doesn't mean you have a leak but when the brakes wear out the become thin causing the caliber piston to push out more lowering the oil level in the reservoir

My 2009 Kia Sorento brake warning light is staying on

leds might be going out, which is unlikely with that new of a car. If you have to reset your computer after an oil change or anything of that nature, that may be your problem

Console brake light stays on I checked fluid level and it is good. I Pulled parking brake and it is working fine but light does not turn off.

I dont know which brake light is the console light but fluid level needs to be FULL. You might even disconnect the fluid level sensor just to be sure its not lying. Does the brake pedal feel normal? if not, have it looked at. May be the parking brake switch is bad?
