If the vehicle is equipped with rear heat, the most common cause of no/lack of heat to the rear is a low coolant level. Make sure the coolant level is good
Double check your switch. it may be a cracked knob. then take needle nose pliars and check to see if you can rotate the knob stem.

Sounds like your temperature actuator is not moving or your temp door is broken. On max a-c ,coolant is shut off to your heater core allowing only cold air in.

Blend door actuator. When it fails for some reason it turns to the hot side and gets stuck. Dash must come out. I usually do it in 3 hours, because I've done it numerous times.

Try this article. I have the same problem and I think it is the vacuum motor that controls the door for changing from hot/cold in the rear heater box (located inside behind the L rear wheel)

It sounds like the control motor switching from hot to cold is stuck halfway in between the two temp settings. You will have to take it down and replace it, it is mounted under dash passenger side near the blower motor.
