Driver door lock doesn t work

You need to test the parts. Does the switch have continuity when actuated? If yes, check the wires for continuity. Will the actuator work when you apply power directly to it? If yes, test the wiring.

I have a 2000 Dodge Grand Caravan. The passenger side front window goes down but will not go back up.

almost all the time it's the switch. The passenger side has two switches will the window go up with the switch on the passenger door? If it does it might not go down with the passenger door switch. Down with the master and up with the passenger switch is common. If it works like this both switches are good and you have a brocken wire. The wire can be found with a test light hooked to ground and then hooked to power. It requires that both switches be popoed up out of the door panel. ( pry up at the rear of the switch, then it pulls reaward and up) With both switches up look to see which wires are the same color. put the test lights point into the back of the plug right next to the wire. with the key on work the switch. it will light in one direction. go to that same colored wire in the other switch plug and work the switch the same way. If the light comes on the same its good. then check the other wire. the wire that doesn't work is broke. I'll even tell you where it's broke at!? Right inside the boot in the drivers side door hindge area. Unhook the boot and pusit back till you can see the wires ( theres a bunch and find the one thats the same color) pull on it and it'll come free as it's broke find both ends and connect them ( Oh thats right it'll break again for the same reason it broke the first time ) So add a peice of wire ( Hopefully the same color but it's not required) make the connections and then get in the kick panel and find the wire and pull the repair though then with the door panel out of the way pull ithought there too and you have a new wire where it bends and it'll stay fixed for awhile

My driver side sliding door handle broke off. I had locked all the doors since and the lock is jammed. It won't go unlock so I can open it. Really my question is in two parts. How do I get my door unjammed...

open the front door...
now you have to push the locking rod towards the rear so you can open the sliding door from the inside
just follow the B pillar down and use the passenger side as reference of that black rod

I have also broke off my 2001 Nissan Quest sliding door handle on the driver side. Also the sliding door cannot be opened from interior... Any help is appreciated... Thanks

the child lock rod may have been extended...
open the driver side door, and with a skinny finger, push that child lock rod back in towards the rear of the sliding door
use the passenger side as reference
once you pushed it in, you can now open it from the inside handle

Automatic Sliding Door problems on 2005 Dodge Caravan

We have the same problem, just opposite doors - the passenger slider will close to 80%, but the driver still functions fine. There must be an easier solution than new wiring harness/motor??

1999 Pontiac Montana passenger sliding door stopped working.

Verify the wiring harness which passes under plastic step & carpet at front passenger side. This wiring harness goes from the firewall to the pillar on the right side and some have crimped connectors in them to act as junction between two or more wires (ususlly the 12volt feed), which deteriorate with time, especially with Salt & Water. Then the electric sliding door stops working and even driver the electric seat can loose power.
