The 4wd light stays on on my 2006 toyota rav4, how can I fix that problem?

you need to get in touch with toyota they had a recall on your vehicle due to airbag.THE STEERING COLUMN ASSEMBLY CONTAINS ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS TO THE DRIVER'S AIRBAG MODULE HOUSED IN A SPIRAL CABLE ASSEMBLY, WHICH INCLUDES A FLEXIBLE FLAT CABLE (FFC). DUE TO THE SHAPE AND LOCATION OF THE FFC'S RETAINER, THE FFC COULD BECOME DAMAGED WHEN THE STEERING WHEEL IS TURNED.
Consequence: IF THE FFC IS DAMAGED, CONNECTIVITY TO THE DRIVER'S AIR BAG MODULE COULD BE LOST AND THE AIR BAG DEACTIVATED. THE FAILURE OF THE DRIVER'S AIR BAG TO DEPLOY IN THE EVENT OF A CRASH THAT TYPICALLY NECESSITATES DEPLOYMENT INCREASES THE RISK OF INJURY TO THE DRIVER.

if you can change the transfer case. after changing, clear the fault code and will permanently eliminate the code

some newer vehicles have different ways to reset...try turning ignition switch on and off a few times without cranking...or removing one battery cable for a few minutes...

the best way to reset the CPU program is to use a code reader . Any thing else generally only fixes a bit of the program

blown fuse and then poss alt brushes or reg out

Take it to a parts store and have them fru the codes on it it is free and they will tell you what you need

pls check the gas or fuel cap gor if closed , if yes , pls open it and close it again but carfully to hear only one clik as mentioned on the top of this cap, then check engine and vsc and 4wd lights will be turned off when you'll turn on your vehicule. pls let me know if it work .

If you had your foot on the brake while starting brake light could come on. If a catalytic convertor does not pass at startup (possibly ox sensor or whole convertor) then the computor turns 4wd vsc and check engine light on. note the six cylinder has three catalytic convertors and the four cylinder has two. Very expensive if convertor(s)

I am having a multiple cylinder misfire on my 2006 Toyota RAV4 with the 3.5L V6. Every cylinder is reporting a mifire. Each cylinder has it's own coil. I highly doubt that all 6 coils went bad at once. Does anyone have any idea what my be causing this?? Is that the problem you two are having?
