yea Ive had a horn like that, they don't get used for so long and rust over, when it dose work hold it down for 20 sec, then it should be alright, also a bad battery doesn't help on old horns

could be you might check it out. many items take the same relay so you might try exchanging it with another one with the same numbers. If that isn't it you may have a short in the horn itself.

Hi, yes unless you've already had it serviced and it's not been reset like on my model.
If this is the case you can reset the service lamp by doing the following: RESETTING SERVICE LAMP ON S40/V40
1, Hold down the odometer button
2, Turn the ignition so all the lights come on
3, Keep holding the odometer down for 30 secs or until the service light starts flashing
4, Release the odometer button
