NO SUCH THING, EXCEPT BATTERY MINUS CABLES
there are many grounds, (a star ground topology , it is)
why not name 1 of 50 systems failing. ??/? and not dreams of one ground.....
the book is 7000 pages long, and 100s of schematics.

the FSM book (posted over 200 times here)
covers all ground,s in every possible way.

so here we go again

wk near same as xk commaner
i have wk, and full docs, with it, i never buy any car lacking this.

http://www.morris4x4center.com/knowledge-base/index.htm?utm_source=cj#service

the whole book in one pdf, best of best, anywhere.

the electrics on cars are like a tree
with branches and all
and are grounds, to lessor degree,

why not just name things that dont work right.
then ask questions.
make sense?

SOURCE: Jeep Commander Rear Brake Pad Installation

Per Chilton Auto repair manual:

Removal & Installation

  1. Raise and safely support the vehicle.
  2. Remove the rear wheel.
  3. Siphon a small amount of brake fluid from the master cylinder reservoir.
  4. Insert a small prybar through the caliper opening and pry the caliper cover (using the outboard brake pad) to bottom the piston in the caliper bore.
  5. Remove the caliper slide bolts.
  6. Remove the caliper from the anchor.

WARNING Support the brake caliper with mechanics wire. Do not let the caliper hang by the brake hose.
  7. Remove the brake pads from the caliper.
To install:
  1. Install the brake pads onto the caliper.
  2. Lubricate the slide pin bolts with grease provided with the brake pads, or suitable silicon grease equivalent.
  3. Install the caliper on the anchor and tighten the slide pin bolts to 18 ft. lbs. (25 Nm).
  4. Install the rear wheel.
  5. Lower the vehicle.
  6. Pump the brake pedal several times until a firm pedal is obtained in order to properly seat the pads.
  7. Refill the brake fluid reservoir to the proper level.

SOURCE: ac/heater fan switch problem on a 2006 jeep commander

next to the fan motor there should be a connector that has three or four wires that attached to the blower resistor. it should have two screws holding it to heater case, just pull it out and replace.

Testimonial: "This info was very helpful but need a little more info of where the fan motor is located. I will post another question to find that info."

SOURCE: install a altenator for a 2006 jeep commander

I would rate this a 5 in difficulty. If you have a metric socket set, basic hand tools and a supertine belt tool it's fairly easy repair. You can rent a surpentine belt tool at Autozone.

Disconnect the battery
remove the cowling
remove the supertine belt from the altenator pully
disconnect the red wire on the back of the altenator
disconnect the harness plug from the altenator
remove the bolts holding the altenator to the mounting brackets.
Reverse the process with the new altenator and it it's done.
Make sure your battery is charged before you start the engine a low battery can cause damage to your new altenator.

Does a 2006 jeep commander have a cabin air filter?

Yes, some 2006 Jeep Commander models do have a cabin air filter. However, it depends on the specific trim level and options installed.
To check if your 2006 Jeep Commander has a cabin air filter, you can consult the owner's manual or contact a Jeep dealership or mechanic. If your vehicle does have a cabin air filter, it is typically located behind the glove compartment and can be replaced easily.

Will a 2008 jeep commander front driver door wiring harness work in a 2006 commander?

Unfortunately Hollander doesn't offer an interchange for door wiring. It would be one of those compair one to the other. Can you not splice yours back together?

How do I remove starter on a 2006 4.7 cylander jeep commander

Disconnect battery.
Unbolt starter, move it down a bit.
Now unbolt wires (two of them).
Now wiggle starter around and get it out. On 99-04 grand cherokee the front wheels need to be on ground (or on a ramp) or the drooping suspension gets in the way.

Have a 2006 jeep commander and there is absolutely no power at all. the headlights , dash board are all dead. nothing will turn over.

I've come across this many times and I hope in this case it is just as simple. Make sure you have a good ground (Negative) to your battery. If not you will get nothing and this sounds like it could be the case if you're completly dead everywhere. I hope this helps and good luck.
