I own a 02 foard explorer shift motor was bad i think and i removed it, i started it to relocate it, installed the new shift motor

Checked fuse 17 and 23 and 23 was bad I changed it and its still not shifting. What do i do wrong?

99 mercury cougar replaced power window motor and switch window still does not work

That doesn't seem possible does it ?

You remove the inner door panel

You think the motor may be bad,so you unplug it,
knowing it is a DC Motor & can be hooked up either
way & will run in either direction
You put 12 volts to it. Doesn't work ,sounds bad,you
install a new one

Now you need power from the switch to run the new motor,
so you work on that
The switch can be disconnected & tested with an OHM Meter
& if worn,you replace that
You checked the fuse before you started & knew that wasn't an issue,
because all the other windows worked

So what did you mis ,short of having no wiring diagram, to make
things a lot easier?

Back up lights don't work.. changed bulbs and checked wiring at the plug. I think it may be a fuse but I don't know the location. Any help would be appreciated.

The fuse box is under the dash by the stering wheel. The owners manual has a diagram of what fuses are what. The switch in the gear shift that activates the back up lights may be bad.

I have a 02 Ford explorer and the drivers side window will not go down. All the rest of the windows work fine. Does this have a fuse that can be replaced?

Not for each window, sounds like either the switch or motor on that door.

O4wd switch doesnt light up and wont go into 4wd hi or low. Just used it 2 wks ago. I checked fuse n its ok. Any ideas?

PROBLEM COULD BE IN SWITCH.REMOVE SHIFT SWITCH CHECK TO SEE IF ANY POWER GOING TO SWITCH.IF YES SWITCH BAD IF NO YOU HAVE A OPEN WIRE FROM SWITCH TO FUSE BOX.

2002 ford explorer xlt with no dashboard functions

Yes, just removed #17 fuse and reinstalled and everything returned. Maybe bad connection, or maybe something was drawing current and that's it's function, (cut power) but it just didn't reset? (Owner's manual lists one function of Circuit #17 as "Battery Saver')

How to replace transfer case shift motor

I have a 1999 f-150. It does not shift into 4WD (hi or low). I checked the fuses and they are ok. I think I may need a new shift motor. Is there a way to test the old motor or should I just replace it? Are there any special instructions for changing the shift motor?
