If you are under the car it should be on the firewall side. It is black piece or a light grey color.

Testimonial: "Sorry not too mechanical, what is firewall side, is it nearer to the driver side, passenger side or somewhere in the middle.. the same thing as above happened a year ago and the mgt light came on, my mechanic change the crankshaft sensor and it was fine, this time, according to him, engine mgt light refers to plug number 2, which was very very dark (black) as the car burns too much oil about 5 liters in four months. He changed that plug and another one but still no joy so he says the engine is knackered so should bother about repairs, servicing is due but been advice to keep on driving till it "dies" so just wanna change the crankshaft sensor as was done a year ago to see if I can use it for a couple of months when I can save money to buy a new car"

My almera tino has suddenly started to over heat even thou the water and oil levels are fine would this be a problem with the thermostat ?

doubt it --- for sudden problems check items like fan operation if electric, viscous fan hub if fitted, blocked radiator fins / corroded fins, failed cat converter blocking exhaust.
run the fault codes to check for any sensor failure.

No indication low oil levelproblems nissan almera

Could be a bad oil level sensor or possibly a wire problem going to the oil level sensor.

Slow Electric window on Nissan Almera Tino 2002.

If you spray silicone in the tracks from the top open window and the speed changes faster I would say the channels are too tight. If no change then the voltage at the motor needs to be checked at 13+ volts. If not then the wiring at the door bend needs to be checked for fraying. If a garage does this job, then they should fix it right. It is not right. You paid for it.

Nissan Almera Tino Diesel 2.1 - Temperature control not working

Hi there, very common on these vehicles, you need to remove the heater cotrols and check that the cable hasn't come out, usually the clips that hold the cables in place break causing the heaters to not work properly, Nissan do modified clips now to stop it from happening, it may need a cable too if its too far bent, hope this helps.
