Check relays and fuses. Possible ECM/PCM driver is bad.

1999 grand prix gtp second cooling fan will not turn on

How hot is the vehicle running? The second cooling fan is programmed to operate only, like the first cooling fan, at a predetermined engine temperature. It varies by model, if I remember correctly however I think it is 226F for the fan to turn on, and at some point if that does not begin working the second fan will turn on.

The cooling fans on a 1997 pontiac grand prix gt are not working

This could be the fans not working or a bad temperature sensor. If you direct wire (hotwire) the fans and they operate then the problem is very likely your temperature sensor. The temperature sensor is usually located on or near the thermostat housing. I hope this helps.

1997 grand prix gtp. Tire pressure/abs light

Hello! This indicates a fault with the wheel speed sensor/ABS sensor. Any major auto parts retailer can pull the details of this code (which sensor) for free, which will help you identify if the wiring is loose or damaged or if the sensor will need to be replaced. If you need to replace the sensor - you will need to replace the entire wheel bearing assembly, as the sensor is internal.

1. My grand prix gtp has problems with leaking on the passenger side. I cannot locate the leak. 2. My engine runs too hot when ideling. I changed the thermostat but this did not help. I need your assi

Make sure your cooling fans are coming on when the temp heats up. Are you talking about a leak inside the car or outside? Inside is usaully a drain tube for the A/C stopped up. Outside, look for a water pump or intake gasket.

1997 pontiac grand prix gtp power steering

I had this exact car and I had all the same problems your talking about, The pump although I can't tell you for sure is on the left side of the engine as your looking at it. If it is whining it is because it is low on fluid, also when topping it off fill it to the full mark while it is running. If it is foamy turn the steering wheel all the way left and all the right a few time to help get rid of the air. You may have to let it sit a while to let the bubble escape, check and do this again, it could be a bad pump also. The overheating problem I had with mine was a bad temp sensor for the computer. It has two temp guages and the computer uses on to activate the fan as needed. I also had another problem with mine, on the front of the intake is a small plastic elbow for a heater hose and this goes bad. Had to replace mine. Wasn't hard, and the part was cheap. Hope this helps you!
