2017 Kia Sorento 2.4. Misfire on cylinder number 4.

Did you change the spark plugs and correctly gap them?

Swap the coil and plug from cylinder 4 to cylinder 1 and see if the misfire moves to 1.

If it does move, then the coil or spark plug is bad. Then you can swap the coil from cylinder 1 to cylinder 2 and if the misfire moves, you know it is the coil.

What is the code p0301 on a ford 150 2002 5.4 engine mean

Miss-fire on cylinder number 1. The picture shows location of cylinder number 1. Check for spark at number 1 cylinder. There are ignition based misfires--fuel based misfires--emission based misfires, I'm sure I'm leaving something out. You need to be aware the computer may disable the fuel injector if misfire detected on that cylinder, that's normal. Trying to protect the cat. If fuel injector is disabled have to decide if normal operation or something wrong with fuel injector or wiring circuit.

Ford freestar 2006, cylinder 6 code po301 cylinder 1 misfire

Standing on the passenger side.looking at the engine. Number 1 is the first cylinder on your left. Follow the wire to the coil. unplug it at the coil, lay the end of the plug close to the tip of the cap and start the engine. If there isn't multiple sparks, replace the coil. If there is , replace the plug and or wire. If you still have a misfire after that, do a compression test on number 1 cylinder.

Gmc envoy with misfire in number 1 cylinder

You could have a bad spark plug or a bad coil pack for cylinder 1. Or it could be as simple as a poor connection at the coil pack.
Other possibilities are, bad injector or poor compression.

Check engine flashing

this usually indicates a cylinder misfire. Two things you can do.

1. remove the coils or wires one at a time until you find the cylinder that is not working. Than inspect the components on the cylinder (plug, wire, coil, etc)

2. scan the computer for codes. You should get a P030X (the X will be a number 1-6 depending on what engine you have). whatever number is shown is the cylinder that is misfiring. for example P0304 would be a number four cylinder misfire, P0302 would be a number two cylinder misfire.

Hi, I'm getting codes 136 02 sensor bank 1 sensor 2 along with 301 cylinder 1 misfire and 304 cylinder 4 misfire. Could the 136 be caused by the misfires ? I'd like to just swap out the plugs, but, they...

I wouldn't worry about the 02 code it will clear when you replace the coils. to be positive that the coils are bad, swap them with another cylinder and see if that cylinder misfires. 90% of the time it's the coil. Let me know

WHAT IS THE CAUSE OF THE PO301 CODE?

The error code p0301 ,This code is related to misfire. The cylinder is misfiring. p0301 this is the indication of cylinder number 1 ,that is misfiring. If the code comes up as p0300 this is the indication of random misfire from all the cylinders. But in your case its indicating p0301 this is indication of cylinder 1 misfire.Check cylinder 1 and replace the faulty cylinder 1 to clear the fault. The spark plugs and the wires connecting to spark plugs also needs to be checked. Keep updated with any more query.Thanks.
