Explain how to get the rear seat release strap out of the latch. The release strap is caught in the latch and will not move.

Sound silly but here we go. Pull the side that works. Listen for the clicks at the latch release on the seat. With the seat down, look at how it releases. There is a lever that moves back and forth. That locks and unlocks around the latch or striker. Now try the side that doesn't work, If it's clicking at the latch the cable end may have come off. Find the same kind of lever on the bad seat, with a screwdriver it will release where the cable releases at the latch. I hope that helps. Open trunk, behind both seats on either side you will see two leather straps. Pull strap at same time as pushing seat forward. You will hear the latch release.

flip the 40 side forward, then release the seat back on the 60 side so you can get behind the seat. Place a small shaving mirror on the floor under the latch and use a screwdriver to push the latch up. After the seat released you find out that there were 2 latches on the 60 side, and the one over by the 40 side must have been caught on something. You should now open and close the seat a couple of times.

it is rusted to the latch. soak the latch under the seat with wd-40 and wait a day. then try again. if it doesn't work then use a screw driver to pry open the seized latch.

first open your rear hatch/doors.2nd fold third seat over buy using latch on right side. 3rd pull relase handle in middle of seat on the back bottom . this unhooks the back latches. use the other hand to pull meatl bar up, tipping seat. 4th while holding metal bar with the one hand use the other hand to pull small release strap. it is too the right of the metal bar, this releases the front latches, pull rearward the seat moves out. the seat is heavy good luck

Got it, with the help and eyes of my wife. The rear latch releases as the seat back is lowered. This release is ALMOST seat back down (about 3 inches above the seat bottom). As the seat back lowers, apply constant lift on the rear latch, and it will release as the seat back lowers. Hard-won knowledge - I think I invented some bad words in the process.
