Where do I locate horn on jeep cherokee - 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee

The horn for the Jeep Grand Cherokee is mounted under the right turn signal behind the front bumper. The easiest way to access it is from underneath the front of your SUV.

Its in the glove box but you will need to remove the cover and its under that. Check the pictures.

I have a 1987 Jeep Cherokee, you have 1 horn on the passenger and drivers side in front of the wheel well behind the bumper. That is where mine were located. I am restoring it and relocated them to behind the grill for easier access in the future. Hope this helps

The horn on the 1997 Jeep is located on the steering wheel.

The actual sound part (horn) is located under the front right side of the front bumper. If you stand in front of the jeep and stick your hand in the left most cutout hole on the bottom of the plastic bumper cover, you can touch the dual horns as well as remove them and replace them.

Hi, the horn relay is located under the glove box base that is secured by several screws. Pull the box covering out and you will see the relay box with 6 relays together ( 3 top row and 3 bottom row). The horn relay is located on the bottom row, all the way left. Or the first one on the left bottom row.

The horn on my 86 Cherokee is inside the grill, in front of and to the right of the radiator. I don't imagine they've moved them too far from there in four years.

If you're trying to locate it for reasons other than it not working, I'd say have someone sound the horn while you stand in front of the car. That should pin point it.

mary, have you checked the contacts on the stearing wheel....maybe?

Under the hood of your jeep on the passenger side there is the Power Distrubution Center (PDC). Remove the lid and thered will be fuses and relays in there. I could not locate the exact location of the horn reley, but if you start removing them one by one you can find the horn relay. You will know the right one when the horn stops.
