check the basics, air, fuel, spark one at a time, check fuel pressure and spark, you are losing one of the three for it to shut down, one thing to also look at is the crank sensor signal if you loose the signal it will shut down
If it has the 4.0 l-6 engine,you may want to check the crank sensor.They are notorious for developing a crack around the electronic eye that allows oil to cover it thus there is no signal.No signal no run.
Possible electrical problem. If the module in the distibutor gets hot it will shut the vehicle down, let it cool down for about 10 min. and it starts again ?
