  1. Turn the light switch off and on several times.
  2. Change from high beam to low beam several times.
  3. Use a multi-meter to check for power to the plug that the bulbs connect to. Sometimes there are components other than fuses than can malfunction and stop the flow of electricity.
  4. Change one of the bulbs for a new one. There is a possibility that both headlights are burned out.
Sometimes, the high/low beam switch gets "stuck" between the two settings and the headlights will not come on at all.

there is a fuse for the cruise control in the fuse box under the hood located right behind the battery. if the fuse is fine, then one of the cruise control components might be bad.

as for the headlight, you might need a new headlight socket. they are easy to replace and the replacement sockets can even be bought at walmart.
if the socket doesnt fix your problem, then you might need a new bright light switch

Headlights wont go on all other lights work. Just high beam and low beam and the blue high beam indicator light on dash. changed headlight switch checked battery ground cable and ground wire to body.

check the fuse block under the hood, drivers side . head lights have fuses there may look ok but check with continuity tester to make sure. test wires at the head lights as well. best bet is the fuses

Hi its me again. 2005 Dodge neon sxt. Auto tranny, put key in, turned it, started to crank for split second, all electrical went completely dead, no dome light, no head light, no dash light. battery was...

Ok, even if the battery is new, get a voltmeter and measure the battery, if its below 12v, thats the problem. That way you completely eliminate all these factors without a doubt. Also check negative wire from battery to the ground box and connections. It sounds more like a corroded terminal.

My back up lights wont work on my 97 dodge neon, i changed the fuse and the light bulbs, now what? help please

Hi!!
What controls the Back Up Lights is the Neutral Safety Switch/Back Up Switch, located on the transmission shifter (engine compartment). Check for 12v+ coming in from the fuse box to the Neutral Safety Switch, if OK, check for 12v+ out of the wire going to the back up lights when in Reverse, if no power, replace switch, if there is power, check wiring from switch to back up lights.
Good Luck!! A HELPFUL - 4 THUMBS - rating for this solution would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for using FixYa.

My 2001 dodge neon head lights tail lights and turn signals aren't working anymore checked wiring nothing looks wrong

Check the fuses. You may have a couple blown out. There is a set of fuses under the bonnet and another set of fuses under the steering wheel.

97 neon brake lights

I would check the fuses, they are marked but check all fuses that pertain to any kind of lamp or light, sometimes if one fuse burns out it burns out other fuses.
